He has nothing to worry about, I am positive if that tackle was performed by one of our players and they got a suspension we all would be in screaming the house down.

But it's happened and the defence he was falling was deemed no excuse

Of course he won't miss a GF for that.

Its golden boy Slater we are talking about.... not a dirty mug like JWH, or Morley

Attacking the head regardless of intent. Why one rule for him, one for everybody else ?

Careless high tackle... 150 points. If not, what was he penalised for?

If he stayed down he would have been pulled off for a HIA test. It's a good thing because players will be less likely to fake injury to get the penalty.

Slater did little wrong. Marshall slipped into his arm as he attempted the tackle.

Well it did before we played Brisbane. I was angry then and I'm asking for consistency now.

IMO the only difference was that Tetevano's tackle was 100% clean so knocked him about. Whereas, Slater's was just a careless forearm to the chin with no intention to make a proper tackle. Hence why 'how hard it got em' isn't how you decide whether a tackle was good/bad.

THAT SAID... see some of those Broncos tackles later on? Yeah the season's over, but IMO the Broncos should be made accountable. I hate the Storm (and Gronk) but it's a real d*ck move for a big bloke like Blair to thump him from behind. I'd personally give Blair an extra month of off-season duties if I were the ref.

Meh whadda you do? Boring, grubby game against 2 entitled teams that are used to getting an unfair advantage. One had to win (unfortunately).

Lol and then the Broncos did another ~3rd tackle pass right into the grandstand.

No, and nor should he. It was nothing.

I think we all agree it was nothing. But I think we also all agree that if it was not Billy Slater, it would have been put on report and the player suspended for one week.

The other one he got special treatment for ...early on when nil all, he plays the ball on his own 30m line, it hits the front of his toe, the ball doesn't roll back and he has to rake it back a second time ...for the past decade that's been a knock on in the play the ball and a scrum. The ref Cecchin unexplicably allows it to continue . Once again special treatment and lets turn a blind eye for Billy.
