We shouldve won the second half by 20 if not for Fergos and latrells schoolboy errors....
The 10m was atrociously refereed... Spoiled our game.
Pearces time is up and must be moved on.
    Napa is my seasons disappointment
Melbourne will slaughter cowboys next week
Can't disagree with any of that.
Curiously it appeared that penalizing for inside 10 wasnt part of the KPI's....

    • Roosters need a squad overhaul as they will be lucky to make the 8 in 2018- all teams are very familiar the way we play and it's not good enough for a premiership- it will be a weaken squad too- SK/Guerra/Evans/Watson leaving or have left- not sure other than Tedesco who replaces them- Too many players make the same errors week in and week out and some are near or past their use by date as players-- tonight showed the lack of depth and confidence - why Robbo selected Toops is a mystery when obviously he was unfit to at least start the game - got away with Maubs and Matto in the centres previously but not tonight - both offered zilch in attack- meaning it was always going to be an arm wrestle and which team made the most errors would lose -which the Roosters did - Should have played Manu at right centre and Evans on the bench

Lucky to make the eight? Sure we are all down but you have lost the plot there.

        • I’m tired of this. Ground hog day over and over and over again.

          • A long time supporter since 67. My observation of any team in this time I never have known a team under the tenure of a coach to be so error prone. I went to the game and we still had a chance to win it until a player who has be given another years contract for 2018 dropped the pill and the strip by a so called leader made it even more difficult. I thought ref Sutton was somewhat one eyed on his 10 mtr ruling. In summary 2016 was a disappointing season yet 2017 finish to the season even more so to make it 3 from 3 loses. Makes me think about the saying 3 strikes and your out. I coined the TIT saying but I have lost some faith.

I know. If Pearcy was the Cows 7 they would have put another 40 on us.

I know the feeling BondiPaul and put similar thoughts on another thread. The 67 side, although short on stars gave themselves every chance by minimising errors and everyone knowing their job. I'm sure that Gibson would not tolerate some of the players that Robbo favours. The error prone ones and penalty magnets would be shunted out of first grade. Repetitive faults are not being addressed. It's understandable that some of the young guns are still adjusting but the senior guys are not exactly setting the trend.
Simple things. Like taking your time to get up when you're stuck on your own line to assure players get back to assist and you don't get rag dolled. We play a rushed game and as soon as the other side slow it we have no answer. The Cowboys thought it out. They got repeat sets something we seem to find a great deal of trouble achieving. All this talk of the little one percenters but not backed up by actions. No accident that the two grand finalists have the two best halves and do not rush their plays or throw hospital passes. Peripheral vision helps.
The other matter is I don't think the club appreciates the skill player enough. Maloney was let go yet he was pivotal to our grand final win. Keary offers skill and his shirt kicking game is much improved. We also have no ball playing forwards apart from Jared's over the back passes. And the tough slog has taken it away after all these years. Moa experienced it and now Jared seems in that boat. Not the same player since the knee reconstruction and we sorely need a dominant forward. It's got to the stage where Liu is our most dangerous along with SST.
This has to have taken its toll on confidence. We had that game despite our poor form and gave it back to the Cowboys on a plate. It has to come back to leadership and coaching.

                • The cowboys showed us all about playing as a team and that you dont need to be stacked with super stars. Desire and a simple game plan , run hard tackle hard kick to corners. I think robbo over complicates things a little especially with his backline shuffle, this can result in only confusions. You look up , 1 minute latrell is on the wing then matto then aubs. No wonder we get caught out of position so many times. Mick gorden was nowhere to be seen several times last nigh when he was needed , maybe morgan kicking was just to good

Thanks Louis Neumann - thanks for your take on the problems within. As you say it's the usual suspects that cause errors and silly penalties. Someone mentioned in another post whilst others may find that's not pc - a request for a Anglo Aussie forward. Interesting analogy by whoever. Liu even though he dropped the ball last night he was the most damaging forward. I agree with your JWH comment. Certainly a tough slog for our forwards with the continuing style of play which opposing coaches have long worked out. We seem to implode when it doesn't work.We had that game to won last night. I was there sitting high up in the members and the Cowboys noticeably off side and so too us at times but the refs often had us back more than 10 yet leadership by the sc called experienced players and coaching failed us. I like Robbo's intellect but I find his style of game with existing personnel ineffective. Called me old fashioned - I have always had the belief that speed and skill beats a man.We have limited speed and some experienced players with limited football intellect.
