I love Teddy but we have sacrificed a lot of depth to get him. We desperately need to sign an experience forward or two.

Thirteen , Teddy will be a bonus and we certainly have lost a lot of depth - arguably players we should be keeping ( specifically Guerra and Watson ) , we don't just need another forward we desperately need a quality power prop as a priority ( as we have for a while now - obviously Evans was to be a gun rather than a dude ), to compliment Napa and JWH .
But all of this will be for nought if the coaching staff don't address
1. Error rate
2. Respect for the ball
3. Consequences of stuffing up continuously
4. The " participate and get a ribbon " mentality , there is more to footy than just participating - commitment , attitude, control,responsibility, dependability.

Napa is so bloody over rated. He did absolutely nothing in our biggest game of the year. (Cue the "Yeah but he is young. Props don't mature until they are 29 comments)

And I don't get the Fergo hate. Yes I agree with Trewhella that the two dropped balls were critical. No doubt. But those were at least through running hard at the line. He gave us great go forward last night. In fact, besides Liu I don't think there was anyone better. Just a pity he blew it with those two errors.

Trewhella I don't think the error rate is due to disharmony or anything like that. They look like a pretty happy bunch. We have had a lack of respect for possession for years, with this year being worst by far. I'd rather put it down to a lack of intelligence. Too many dumb players . Latrell has prior form at kicking the ball dead. So why have him do it at all? Give it to the fullback to do ffs. It makes more sense anyway. And players trying to run upright near our line. Dive at their feet ffs. That's 2 more dumb plays. 2 more drop outs.
I don't want the coach sacked but he has gotta stop the rot.

Robbo should be on notice too as the squad he has had should have won at least 3 premierships and made the GF this year - only 1 GF appearance -anyone could see that Keary was affected by his illness and did zilch tonight- why not have Watson at 5/8.

It's been Robbo's reluctance to use him that he has signed with another team- Why pick Toops - he was not fit either - left the team with only 2 forward reserves - sure errors cost the game but having passengers didn't help either.

Cannot see us making a stand in 2018 as changes of personal are more than required - some players are at or past their use buy date - we lose and have lost players such as SKD/Guerra/Watson and Evans and have only signed one established NRL player in Tedesco who wont win a comp on his own.

Playing Matto/Maubs in the centres the last part of the season showed the lack of development and confidence in players such as Manu - Manu would have done a better job tonight than Matto/Maubs at centre/ Evans as a forward reserve and Watson at 5/8 instead of an unwell Keary. Not good enough and Uncle Nick should demand better and if Robbo cannot provide see you later and we sign another coach and other players who can win a comp.

The currently squad cannot achieve this. If I was Uncle Nick I would sign Cronk and release Pearce as well as others- JWH/Friend/Fergo

In the 20 years of the Nrl era, brisbane have won three comps and storm, manly and us have won two. Regardless of this you think that the robbo should have won three comps in four years - as Braith might say "you're off your head".

I know it's a coaching thing but how the fuc has nobody taught Ferguson to hold the ball when he is making hit ups.
He has the point of the ball north south and it is away from his torso. The cowboys were being coached to attack the ball in every tackle.
Why were we not employing that tactic?

+1. If we were even a little more disciplined we belt both Broncos and Cowboys and having a very different conversation. Those who don't think we can win the comp with this squad, pull your head in.

But our coach has his good points as well it was a big ask frin last year till now.. He did give a lot of new guys a run which most will be better for it. Remembering the league changed tackling rules we were so good back in 2013 etc. We had a decent season this year despite tge finish. Those blokes wull gel better next year.
