    Average vs the Broncos.

    Diabolical tonight.

I've defended them for years but not anymore.

When the heat is on they both melt.

It took a virtual God in SBW and super clutch Jimmy Maloney to drag them over the line in 2013.

This isn't a thread in anger either. The season was so stressful I'm actually relieved it's over.

I'm just genuinely of the belief now that we won't win another comp until we move on and begin another era with a new half and hooker.

3 Prelim losses in a row. It's gotta be in their heads. And their teammates and coaches heads. And this shit snowballs like we've seen for Mitchell in Origin.

Am I off the mark here? Does anyone have confidence Pearce and Friend can lead us to a comp? Because I don't.

They're both the opposite of calm and clutch and that clearly filters through the team.

Teddy won't control the tempo of the game though.

        He's a finisher. And a lethal one.

But what we need are game managers under pressure.

Look at Morgan tonight. Clutch kicking game. Incredible pass for Linnett's try.

Cool as the Ice man off Top Gun where as our blokes were as nervous as me around big spiders.

        Teddy won't fix that issue.

Keary was awful tonight, and let's not play the "sick" card here. Morgan made him look like a deer in the headlights when he split him with that cut out ball try.

did the cows even play with a halves pairing tonight? That 6 was unsighted.

I think Friend is the weakest of all those mentioned in this thread.

We won't win another comp with Pearce at 7,without Keary's efforts this year we wouldn't of even made it this far!
As for Friend, happy to ride with him next year and see how he goes..

I agree with Tommy. It's not an attack on any player but we seriously need a player who can guide us around the park. Cordner is agreat player but he's not the one for that job. We need a Thurston or a Cronk.

What I'd give to have Cleary as our halfback.

Oh well it's over now. Though I just don't see the necessary improvement in game management going forward.

Lord help us if we face Smith or JT/Morgan in a Prelim next year! It'll be the same result.

Anyway I've never been so excited for the offseason. What a relief after watching all those heart attack performances.

That 6 did score their first try with a nice run helped by some shocking reads and efforts in defence featuring our number 7 as one of the worse offenders. He was pretty quiet other than that but was good defensively and doesnt fark things up.

                        P.S. Fark Origin.

I think Pearce is shot mentally for good because of that shit.

He was going great until the Game 2 meltdown.

And personally I now think he's damaged goods in big games. And his teammates know it.

Won't win another premiership with Pearce at 7.

How about that non-contested bomb with 6 to go? What a robot.

I am not a fan of friend in attack or leadership.

pearse could play centre or hooker but cannot learn new tricks or perform on the big stage at 7. we've lost 2 quality halves to retain pearse...Maloney and now watson. Will history repeat with SOS and lam? Please no

Friend is great in defense but is very lacking in attack. He needs to sort out is game mangement.

Pearce.... what do we do with him? I love the guy but he needs to become a more aggressive half who can take a game by the scruff of the neck. We have signed him long term, but wouldn't be overly disappointed if we could sign a player like Nathan Cleary.

It's been over 20 years since we signed Freddy from the riff. We are well overdue another great playmaker from the west
