This thread sums up why I avoided this place last night.

Maybe the week off is a better idea.

A coach with three prelims and a premiership his first five seasons has an exactly zero percent chance of being fired.

Well the coach has to look at him self too. He has to learn from it or it will be more of the same.
erratic positional picks erratic bench use = erratic player behaviour on field -it was my only fear going in to the game yesterday and my own prediction was correct unfortunately .
He has a right to be paid out and be accountable. We all know he is an above average coach .

I was confident all week until I saw Toops once more on the bench.

I knew then we were in trouble.

The fans deserve an answer for that clanger.

Robbo shouldn't be sacked IMO. He is still one of the best coaches in the comp. He has respect and success behind him, plus a good footy brain.

But he, his assistants and the whole squad need to have a long look at what the cows have done the past 3 games - error free, penalty free football. With major injures, and an average line up they have managed to beat 3 higher rated teams this final series.

FFS when are we going to stop being our own worst enemies. Many of us have been saying it all season - take out the errors and dumb penalties and we have the squad which should have won the comp.... this is what is frustrating. This is what we need to get right if we are going to win another premiership in this era

No mention of Pearce ?.He was non existant -terrible game. Im over him more chances than any other player -GET ASH TAYLOR UNCLE NICK.
Fergo made those two huge mistakes. Besides that he made huge yards for us. Pearce is way too conservative. I'm sick of his mid field bombs but maybe he is coached to do that. He doesn't even think about running on the last.

If some people had their way , there would be 15 coaches sacked every season.

Likewise Friend. Pedestrian. Predictable DH. I get that he's knackered from defending, especially last night Cowboys had all the early possession, but you look at Granville and his sub and think Why can't Friend do that.
Pearce too quiet, Morgan an excellent kicking game, however I did notice at the game from the position I was in that some of those Pearce kicks he appeared to quickly change his original plan because of a slower or poorer delivery from dummy half. I only noticed by chance, as it was such a birds eye view. Not a defence, just an observation. Struggling to find anyone totally blameless. Saved the worst for last.

They should've been penalised 30 times last night for...strips, being offside, high tackles.....and their forward passes should've been pulled back.

                      Average lineup?
                      They were premiers in 2015.

Yep on paper, compared to us, the cheats, the sharks, without Thurston and Scott are an average line up. Hence their 8th place finish to the regular season (8/16 - average)

They should have been penalised but they got away with it. Just like Melbourne do - we need to learn how to play penalty free football and get away with it.

Come on Brain you're smarter than that. No pun intended.

I'm not saying people can't analyse and critque the year but really Robbo is on his last chance...

In his 5th year as a coach Bellamy was just winning his first premiership.. with a non salary cap complient squad mind you.

In his 5th year as a coach Bennett still didn't have a premiership to his name.

                            Give me a break.

Last chance may have been the wrong use of words, however his tactics recently, bench selection and reluctance to change things have been shown to be very very poor decisions, unless of course you agree with his decisions

I've never agreed with everything Robbo or any coach does. Come next Sunday there will be 15 sets of supporters all telling their coach what he did wrong.

We all obviously have our own opinnions and views on the game but what I can't disagree with is the facts. Take the emotion out of it.

We were a 15th placed side entering a rebuilding period and we've finished second and 1 game away from the Grand Final far exceeding fan, expert and bookies expectations of the squad we had. We've released a lot of dead wood, made a world class signing, retained some top class players and developed some really good talent for next year.

In most work places around the world that would be deserving of a bonus. Only in the emotional hysteria of proffesional sport could someone deliver those results and someone have the balls to suggest they're on their last chance.
