This is where the Chooks go wrong over the years. Maybe it Uncle Nicks over-reaching hand. We have too much money at our disposal and end up wasting it.

My my fear is that Trent might become like Brian Smith, too technical in trying to manage an outcome, and not about how to win a game.

And Craig Wing is a perfect example, we won the comp in 2002 with him at half and the following years, shift him to hooker and win two minor premierships yet no Cups..

So what we now?? like NSW no with 4 fullbacks, 4 halves, 3 locks,

i just hope Trent can identify our/his weaknesses and correct them and we are premiers in 2018. Being an ex-prop he should be able to get more out of our props, especially in the big games.

Trent is relatively young to the coaching game at the top level.

He will look back on our finals preparation and tactics and realise he made some blues.

He will learn from it....hes a student.

I think that's the way it's going...Green is free in 2019. Like I said before, I'm sure he's the next coach should Trent not take us at least to the GF.

I still have complete faith in Robbo despite the Toops on the bench debacle.

And I find it hard to believe that he might be facing the chop.

The only way I could lose faith is if Keary doesn't start the year at 5/8. That would be utter madness and if it causes us to lose him as he's off contract next year then it'd be a huge mistake.

But.. it surely won't happen.

To those that say that Robbo is aligned to Pearce and wont drop him, well I would think that after a few failed years, Robbo will be looking to Cronk for the results the club wants.

I'm also surprised how Rothfield is 100% sure that Cronk signed 2 months ago. It's not maybe, perhaps...he's signed, period! He said it yesterday on the Tele.

Last night on 360 he said he had a 'gut feeling'. No evidence tho. Just the feeling he gets when speaking to the big wigs around the Roosters. He believes they appear very confident.

I also agree with Rothfield's comments last night on fox - he basically said that the main reason cronk is being brought in is because we need a leader amongst the players and the ones that are meant to be leaders have hardly set the right tone amongst the player group when you look at the indiscretions of players like fergo, skd, napa, carter just this year alone. Friend and pearce are meant to be some of the main leaders amongst our players and it says a lot about their leadership (or lack thereof).

Why have we been the most error prone side in the comp for years? Are these errors stopping us from reaching the GF? Is it our style of play or gameplan? If Robbo continues to be unable to fix it what should be done because we can’t get into a GF with so many errors. So who’s going to fix this mess of a team up and get us playing hold onto the ball footy?

At least 13 other clubs would love to have achieved what the Roosters have since Robbo took over.
The Roosters are the top Sydney club & have been a very competitive team under Robbo. No coach in the League could have made the Roosters a success in 2016.

No team can win the comp year after year. Winning the comp once every 5 years or so is what I consider a successful club.
