The ineffectiveness of Pearce, affects Friend's game, enormously.

If Pearce controlled the game, and had a promising short kicking game, Friend could play his position and be subbed when required.
Currently, Friend must play 80 mins, as he is the only player capable of repeat sets.

Hahahaha, now I'm being compared to a broken clock. I'd like to think I'm more accurate than a broken clock. I've been posting for 17 years, had thousands of posts and all the pinheads can bring up is Nikorima and they can't even get that one right.

Anyone with half a brain can see that Pearce is a liability.

I saw enough in FG from Radley to suggest that he'll make an awesome no.9. I reckon it's his best position and after a couple of years of being the bench hooker/backrow replacement I'd like to see him replace Friend.

As for Pearce, my fear is that he's shot mentally in big games. Origin ****ed his season. And now with 3 Prelim losses on the bounce maybe that's another giant mental block he carries on his shoulder.

I'd love a young fearless halfback like Taylor. He has a brilliant kicking game too.

But steakface is right. Unless we can sign Cronk then there is no upgrade on Pearce out there. And even then given Cronks age you'd want a succession plan for him outlined very quickly.

In hindisght we should have had a major crack at Shaun Johnson. Surely he can't be happy wasting his entire career at the worst club culture in the league.

Put up with Pierce in 2018, sign Tailor for 19 and beyond.

Pierce or Friend at 9 or they can both pissorrf and Radley might be ready to start at 9 by then.

My point was others may not agree with you most times but not all as opinions do coincide from time to time, like I said no disrespect to you was my opening part of my post.

Ash Taylor is available it would be a major coup.
As for friend he does too much tackling thats his own choice ...if I remember the games he wa sout I think we won them so that means nothing ....he has to get out of the way and let blokes do their job-thats the farken slight problem ...and I said slight.
The other night Morgoan touched the ball 81 times or some thing missed a tackle for a try
Pearce 30 some thing times missed a tackle for a try
Morgans a hero ??? because ????? he had a go and didnt stop trying.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

Pearce is a shit halfback im sorry to say. Cant fault effort but just doesnt have it and thats all there is to it. Ask any blues supporter they will tell you the same thing. I havnt seen any proof to suggest otherwise, stats or a big performance in a big game for a long time. The only game the blues won last series pearce was off early with concussion. I just dont get it he touched the ball 39 times against morgans 77. What does that tell you??????

Has Pearce ever played one those games where he tore there opposition to shreds? He has no vision... That short side play on last tackle against broncos was a perfect example. He does that big step when attacking the line all the time and you can tell it's pre planned!
Throws those hospital passes because he planned it earlier not because it was on!! Sometimes it works.. Most times it doesn't!!!
I've seen out forwards liking it with quick play the balls but we never capitalise...

We need a new attitude more than anything else. Hard nosed and disciplined. A change of personnel won't mean anything unless we become mentally tougher.

I think 9 is his best position as well.Great ball player, good runner, good defender has all the skills, having said that hes not a bad half either, hes not a Thurston or a cronk but he goes ok.
