In all honesty, anyone with two feet should be able to have a stab. Look how many the specialists miss. It's usually a kick and hope anyway.

But you don't see them kick tough ones Mickey. Teams like the Storm get their kickers in perfect podistion to just drop em over. I'm not taking anything away from those guys but they are made to look good thanks to the work before the kick.

The stats are interesting......

Pearce is committed going by the tackles he makes (never doubted it myself)
Cronk makes less tackles but is less error prone.

Maybe guys like Pearce and Friend are doing too much in defence. That's even more infuriating when you think about JWH and Napa's stats in the Preliminary. Robbo needs to tell the big guys to pull their finger out and put a shift in. It's probably no coincidence that we won in '13 because of the strike power of SBW and Jennings and Pearce and Friend could tackle away to their hearts content. But look what's happened since....our creative players are too buggered putting in extra tackling duties because we probably have some lazy pigs. It could also explain the error rate of a few.

Assuming the total tackles number isn't deceiving (average per game might be a fairer measure) then I think it's evidence that teams run at Cronk less than they run at Pearce - neither halfback is hunting for defensive work, it comes to them. Could be because they have higher priorities against Melbourne (e.g. run at Smith to tire him out) or could be because teams want to exploit our ride edge defence.

The point you make though is bang on the money - Pearce and Friend are doing too much in defence.

I do not know Pearce, I do not rate Pearce, I would be happy for him to leave, however not for Moylan.

people I do know very well and opinions I hold very highly regard the guy as a grade a dickhead, a drunk and a bloke that puts himself above everyone else, forget what his team mates say in front of the camera, they would sooner see the end of him.

Thanks for the info although I'm pretty sure I knew how it worked. I just wasn't sure if the user in question had a history. From what I can see, I wouldn't be surprised if it's someone on here with more than one active account for trolling purposes.
