Whilst I agree with R6 that he is not necessarily a game breaker, his decision making just might be.

I would only want him tho if he signed for 2yrs. Not 1. And if we could move Pearce to dummy half that would be a very good spine.
    Tedesco
    Keary
    Cronk
    Pearce

I imaging tho that that would mean moving Friend on to get under the Cap. So be it. Or maybe we just can't afford both Pearce and Cronk in the team, but if Cronk signed for 2yrs I would be all for it.

IMO he will retire. Remember the last contract he signed for the Storm? He called his own press conference. And in the end didn't answer any questions that the media asked him. It got to the stage where one guy from the media asked him why he bothered holding a presser if he wasn't going to answer their questions.
Cronk isn't silly. He loves the drama and the limelight. He knows it only boosts his profile further. And he will milk this current situation for everything it's worth.
No Cronk side loses that semi if they are in front twice in the second half.

Yeah we have the number one fullback in the game coming but he won’t change a thing.

Why don’t you go follow another club Tobin since the roosters cause you so much misery. Go follow the storm.

We already have our white whale for next year - Tedesco.

my prediction is that this Cronk talk will already be hurting the squad. This bloke is still faffing about whether he will even play next year.

this feels much more like Bennett than Sonny Bill.
Hands up those who thought we were a very very good chance of making the GF just before we played an undermanned and rather pedestrian Cowboys?

Teddy's inclusion will be like buying a Ferrari and using 91 octane unleaded fuel, which is not to discredit Keary, but if we can improve our team with a better player, why not at any cost. Cronk is such player.

As for that maxy Walker, well apparently last week he wouldn't bother talking about this topic because it's 'wasting his time'. Obviously he now likes to waste his time... But this 'entitled fan' bit...what the hell is that? All fans have a right to want something from their team...that's not being entitled, that's just being a fan....

I thought we would win that game because the cowboys had had such a tough few weeks plus our week off...and it's OK if we lost that game if we had played to our potential and the cows played better....Can't complaint about that...But the fact that everyone went missing and there was no spark from our halves, while Keary was probably still under the effects of the illness, and including Robbos choices on the bench, yeah it was a ridiculous way of losing.

there needs to be an investigation.
                  how did this happen?
                  why did it happen?
                  who let it happen?
if a team cant get up for a prelim you have to start asking questions. I think the coaching staff have some questions to answer. As well as some senior players. If it was complacency then you have to question our leaders.

I didnt ask that as I dont believe we would have won.

HOWEVER, losing that PF was the most lame, insipid, meek, shithole of a performance I have ever seen from a Roosters team in a final, ever.

Well like one or two posters here have said that the senior players were telling people they were thinking about the Storm even before the Cowboys game. Then the leadership group should be sacked or on final warning....No one should treat a PF lightly or as a gimme ever, and if Pearce, Friend, Robbo and co did, they should be read the riot act and be on notice. We may never get a better chance to reach a GF again. Ask any Norths supporter that!

Neither do i, which means that most of the current argument is about whether we would have finished 2nd or 3rd. Seems like a pretty frivolous discussion

yeah well i cant believe it really if that is the case. I think that is an excuse for a crap performance. Very unprofessional, thats whats sets storm apart from the rest is they play to a standard no matter the opposition

I was bothered that week but it was two weeks ago and i am able to put it in the perspective of the whole season. I would have been far more gutted by losing a grand final - and i have no doubt we would have. The Storm were the best side this year by far - the bookies knew it, the pundits knew it and the fans knew it.
