Not saying this is true - I will believe it when I see Official Communication. Lets say hypothetically this happens. What are your thoughts?

Pearce to Souths... that would be a little painful. I personally love Pearce, I think the defensive side of his game is the best of all the halves and you can never call into question his heart, I think he goes out there and gives his all for the Roosters week in and week out.

I do believe that he is just not a great player, he is a toiler, in the vain of Aubo. He does everything he can do, he gives 100% but his 100% is someone else 70%. Cooper, I can't remember a time I have seen him shine without the likes of Slater, Smith or JT by his side. You know, like JT for the Cowboys. He has always been such a dominant and controlling half, but I can't remember Cronk without Smithy controlling the ruck or Slater up on the inside.

In either case, honestly - I wouldn't be against this move. If Cooper signs on for 2/3 years and we move on Pearce... I think it would be really hard, but I think it would be a positive move by the club. Alternatively, move on Jake and put Pearce in the 9.... it's been spoken about ALOT... but I really wonder A) if it would work and B) how Pearce would take not being the number 7.

Am I the only person who doesn’t want him near our club? He’d give us a yeah then what...? Move Radley to #7?

Or is Jake secretly being groomed as the next QLD #7?

The only thing I’m hoping this speculation results in is Cronk’s market value being pumped up, so that whoever signs him is screeeewed!

I heard about this also. 900k is the magic number. As I cannot name my source I decided to keep my trap shut. I'm told it's a done deal. Business contacts and education with Uncle Nick & Bouris (sp?) was the clincher.

But the fact that we're talking about it could be the deal breaker. He could do a Bennett if it's a hand-shake deal......

Some concerns:

1. HTF can we afford him, and hold on to JuJu.
2. JuJu and Friendy and their posse would be shattered.
3. Could destabilise the team severely.
4. I think the addition of Teddy is enough in terms of big names. We need farking big boppers and a centre (by centre I mean one with experience, that can defend, and is strong and fast. Our current spine is fine, and would improve 10 fold with Teddy.

They shouldn't be shattered. They shat themselves in the prelim and it was ****ing embarrassing. The club needs to address this and by the sounds of it Uncle Nick is going to deliver
