Both players are then replaced and we get a run of possession. I was hoping for a bit more from each of them in the 2nd half but it was one of those games where the non-contributors out weighed the contributors. by a long way no doubt. The scary thing is we still could have won the game and had only played to about 60% of our ability
We went set for set with them for the first 20 without mistakes until "Ice" dropped one cold. Then it all fell apart.

It was an idiotic conservative tactic to try and go set for set with them. It played right into their hands.

Still so pissed off about that loss.

I've seen our forwards win many battles and get field position only to have our half put a poor kick in at the end which gives away a 7 tackle set or doesn't get a repeat. This has happened many many times.
I bet if you look at other top halves, their ratio of decent last tackle kicks in the opposition 20 are a lot better than Mitchell's.
Even that field goal he finally kicked against the Dragons...seriously, we were all so happy for him to finally win us a game after 10 years or whatever of trying.... it took ten years!!!!!!!

Exactly. Because we don't have a consistent forward pack. When we do, we have a consistent half back.
It amazes me that it don't matter what team it is, when the crap hits the fan, ppl always go straight to the half back for blame

He consistently comes up short and this seems to be the basis of a lot of ill feeling towards him. Halfbacks are meant to be smart and wily. Pearce is just not that guy.
    My thoughts too! Well summarised.
