After reading a report from a few years ago about the Roosters considering changing their name to Bondi Roosters. i thought about it and it could have been a good move for the club. There have been a large amount of comments on a new roosters logo and along with most others i agree that we should have a modernized version of the old Eastern Suburbs logo

Sydney Roosters is a perfect name and the logo we have is awesome.

I'd love to see the roosters revert back to being Easts.

Whether that be Eastern Suburbs Roosters, Eastern Sydney Roosters or Easts Sydney Roosters or whatever. Easts Roosters might be a bit too close to Wests Tigers in the name dept.

I disagree. I believe that a name change would only serve to further segregate our current fanbase. I know for nostalgic reasons reverting to the Eastern Suburbs name would appeal to many but imo the way forward is to continue with our current branding as the Sydney Roosters, which would be the best name in terms of marketing and creating an identifiable brand.

That's nonsense they made up after we nicked the French Rugby League team's jersey design in the 1950s. It had the coq sportif on it and we appropriated that too. Hence The Roosters.
