Many still refer to us as the "tricolours".
Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

Logos come and go. Changes are usually made during times of great success.
I like the one we have........a rose by any other name and all that.

I've never called the team by any other name, It will always be Eastern Suburbs to me.

i agree with the earlier post saying that reverting the name back to Easts would segregate the fan base. A lot of oldies on here are no doubt traditionalists but it'd be the wrong move especially when we're trying to spread our fan base

If they ever change the logo I will lose alot of love for the team.

                    Idiots.
It's on a st. merge beach towel that has the score from last year's grand final too.

I'd love to go back to being EASTS with our 80s logo!

But what about the fans like me who aren't from Bondi or the deep eastern suburbs?
Sure they were "Eastern Suburbs" MANY moons ago, but since Souffs took over places like Maroubra while we have crept over to Paddo/Darlo/Surry Hills/The Cross, Easts aren't strictly in the typical "eastern suburbs" (i.e. Bondi, Coogee, Bronte, Maroubra, Vaucluse, Bellevue Hill...etc.)

Also the "eastern suburbs" are no longer working class suburbs, they're soft, exclusive upper-class areas. If you want the Cranbrook school to be our main feeder club, then go ahead - eastern suburbs all the way!!!

Personally I think the demographic has changed so much that "Eastern Suburbs" suggests SOFT SOFT SOFT millionaires who sit around sipping pink champaign while watching Cranbrook/Easts (i.e. YAWNION TEAMS AND **SOFT** PRIVATE SCHOOL BOYS) get thUUUUmped. Bondi used to be a pretty rough suburb where REAL boys played a lot of FOOTY. It's now a soft, classier area (if you discard the pommy backpackers, who can fark off IMO.)

The "Sydney City" tag is something that keeps us viable, and takes away our chai latte/pink champaign transit lounge tag.

As if anyone care about the latte tag.

Like they don't smash them in Penrith.

No the Sydney City tag is also a thing of the past, and plain old Sydney is a reason lots of opposition fans hate us because it has us as THE sydney team when there's 7 others. Like previously mentioned by somebody, it doesn't stop people in Sydney or wherever going for the Broncos just because they have Brisbane in their name. Nor Melbourne. Nor Newcastle. Nor Parramatta.

It is nice to have a home though. Our home will always be the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.

Do what the AFL teams do, call us the Sydney Roosters and have ESDRLFC in capitals below the collar of the jersey on the back

                              in homage

                                EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!

NO change needed or should there be.

'Bondi Roosters' will alienate all the supporters who live outside Bondi...which seem to be most supporters these days.

                                Wanna destroy the club?

Then change the name and logo!
