So that's when I wrote that post saying okay yes it is me and I'm lonely! - purely in humour - I thought it was hilarious myself! Anyway I hope that clears that up for you? Go back through my post history you will see. I think that post you refer to was probably my 50th post as well.

On topic.................the OP declares that that any rooster fans who gives Pearcey a bit of stick is a fwit.

I think his reaction to the news is a good guage on his maturity.
If he thinks he's earned the right to be consulted over recruitment desisions, or thinks all fans are going to support him for spitting the dummy, then it should be a case of "thanks for your best efforts pal, best of luck in the future".

No player has ever been bigger than the club.

Just based on the effect the possible signing is already having. It’s said in jest.

                  This situation isn’t the catalyst.
how many of the other 16 lost you after the PF- Couldn't say any of the 17 played to their ability or had good games though - started and ended in the forwards - insipid performance from them when they should have rode roughshod over an injury riddled cows pack from the get go giving the backs the momentum to ride roughshod of the injured riddled cows backs - errors cost them too one has to say- 17 player game - the players and the coach share the blame equally in that loss - Robbo through his baffling team selection and game plans - all the close wins disguised the fact that they failed the play 80 minute games mostly during the year- closest they came to this was the Parra game when they won 48-10

Mitch was re-signed on the understanding he would be halfback, just as he has done for the past 10 years. If that has now changed, he has every reason to request a change of club.

And I don't recall Andrew Johns playing hooker for his club side Newcastle. It's a little different playing hooker 3 times to playing it week in week out, 30 games a season.

Accusing a player of spitting the dummy because he may not prefer to change position and in turn force one of his best mates and co-captain out of the side is unfair in my opinion.

I never said Johns played hooker for Newcastle. Can you read? Toovey played hooker for Manly/Northern Eagles and went on to play higher rep. honours in the hooking position For the good of any team, like a great coach once said, "You pick your best players" for the team and let them work it out.

Things change in life. Just because Pearce had recently re-signed with the club does not give him the right to say he will only play halfback. Bet you his contract does not stipulate what position he will play. If someone is paying you $750,000 to play for our great club, surely they are entitled to play you anywhere they like.

If Pearce does leave, he will be accused to spitting the dummy, taking his ball and going home so to speak. If he grows a set, he will have a chance to learn off one of the best. I reckon he will make a great hooker darting out of dummy half, something Friend does not do as he is not as quick. If he decides to leave, the money saved could be spent on retaining Keary.

yeah its win win for the chooks on this one. If he stays it speaks volumes for his attitude and if he goes, then where not stuck with a player who doesnt what to be here. Im glad its his decision because what ever he decides it will be good for the roosters

Pearce has played 238 games for our club and i think in every one of them given 100%. Sure his not the best half in the comp but he is one of them. He has shown nothing but commitment and loyalty to this club and as a result the club up until now has shown it back. He has done 238 times more for this club than any of the try hard wannabes that are completely disrespecting him on here lately. He bleeds for the club for 10 years, is a premiership winning half and has been around for a very successful period for the club.

Sure be excited and upfront about the fact that Cooper is a better half than Mitch but why disrespect the man so much when all he has done is give his all and been a large part in the success we have had for 10 years. I'm excited Cronk is joining as well as he is a better half than Mitch but to come out and completely disrespect the effort and achievements he has made since being here shows how low some of you are. These same guys will mention loyalty in threads going forward from here and they wouldn't have a clue what the word means.

Give yourselves an uppercut. Keyboard heros.
                          Thanks for your post Mitchell...

I dont get everyone saying pearce should stay and learn off cronk . Cronk has given him many lessons over the years and none have sunk in.
seriously i wonder what there head to head match up is. Odviously origin would tip it in cronks favour but club footy im not so sure , anyone?
