Trent has continually said how they built a side around Pearce and constantly sung his praises, even when it was obvious that he wasn't performing. By the back end of this season Trent was telling the truth. Morgan was the best half in the game. It wasn't just a gee up. And now the clamour for Cronk has shown what they really think. I think the smart move for Mitchell would be to move on. A fresh start is what he needs and also what the Roosters need.
Mini was made to look a fool after that and then the club has him get into Tedesco ear about coming to the Chooks as well.

I can see it happening again but if we get a premiership out of it im stocked, but its not quiet the same imo
Garbage. A Premiership is a Premiership. I don’t care if we brought the whole storm side and Bellamy to get one.

I will take the premierships with the poached players over preliminary finals losses every time. The moment they pull on a Roosters jersey, they are one of us. No SBW, Jennings, Maloney = no premiership in 2013.

Hahaha me neither but they are sweeter if they are true red white and blue. Think newcastle knights 1997

Would have to say it was more than just these players - 17 player game- that year all put in in most games for most of the 80 minutes each game -something that happened only realistically twice this season- 48-10 win over Parra and 16-13 close loss to the Storm- other than that it was fade in and out of games along with some clanger errors than kids would hardly ever make- notwithstanding team selections and use of bench etc.

Some players provide more of an impact than others. Do you think we could have won in 2013 if we didn't have those 3?

I certainly agree, means a lot more to watch a player start out at our club, watch them develop and live out their dreams along the way.

That's not to say I don't get excited about a really good signing that will strengthen the squad where it's needed (like Teddy) but like with all things it's about balance.

If we win a premiership in 2018/19 its all justified, certainly is exciting, not convinced it wont have serious ramifications re the treatment of pearce but fingers crossed management are taking every possible step to ensure all are sweet, id love pearce to stay but if he doesnt i hope he succeeds elsewhere , cronk should bring a level of professionalism unseen since sbw infact he may even surpass sbw in terms of preparation which cant hurt , i just hope as he said everybody gets onboard and gives 2018 a real crack, on paper this team can win it, i hope they do.

Big Jack Gibson would never have agreed to signing Cronk and would have stood up to Politis - Robbo is weak - Big Jack was a players coach never a administration coach

Tedesco has never played in a side that has ever played finals footy in the NRL. Too many on here are expecting miracles or parting of the sea from Tedesco and Cronk but forget its a 17 player game and you need good depth in all positions and the ability to play 80 minutes in most games during the season.

Chooks lack depth and can the squad play 80 minutes most games - only twice this year IN 2017 they came close in 24 games in playing 80 minutes - mostly good/bad and the ugly football all in the same game during the season- To be deemed premiership favourites is also a major burden and one has to say again for the uninitiated the pressure will be on Cronk and Robbo to bring home a premiership - There will be no excuses accepted by the Board - all this oh sign this player and that from posters sums up a very desperate mindset and a return to the bad old days of transit lounge times I suggest.

Said this elsewhere but as much as I like Pearce, and now that the Cronk ink is dry, can we really afford to keep him. Concerned about go-forward, depth, and player retention.
