Im hoping Robbo is trying to make it look like he really wants Pearce to stay so when Pearce pisses off, the Pearce allied players won’t throw their toys out of the cot also. I think Robbo is also trying to pacify the Pearce loving masses.

Apart from not having the $$ to add some depth or retain players I’ve always feared that Keary would be the collateral damage out of this mess.

IMO, he could not hold a candle to the first bloke who played 200 games for us, coincidently , another halfback.
I've only seen half a dozen better number sevens than Pearce........................I mean ones who played for the right club.
Overall I've seen a few hundred better.

I watched that interview with Trent Robinson and Danny Weidler with ever-increasing incredulity. Does Wayne have pictures of Trent partying with Kevin Spacey? Either there's something incredibly incriminating that Goddamned Pearce family has on Trent Robinson or he's playing silly buggers. The team has just paid 2 million dollars to get the best available halfback in the comp, to accompany a 5/8th who is going to blossom under that half's training. And the coach said he won't move the current dud from the halves to pair the two of them up.

I quite enjoyed reading his views on the game, didn't agree with everything he said but he looked at the game from a different angle and he was a breath of fresh air on here.

Shame he was made of egg shells and left due to the shit he coped for not conforming to the popular opinions on here.

A wise person once said, if it aint broke, don't fix it. I agree that Wing was a better dummy half than halfback, but he was a better halfback than Finch. Finch was pedestrian and made to look semi decent at times by Brad Fittler.

Keary will be the sacrificial lamb for 2 reasons.

1. So Robbo minimises team harmony damage, or does not risk losing the dressing room as they say.
2. So Robbo keeps the fans/sponsors/stakeholders content

I reckon from the reaction on this forum, 50% want Pearce in & 50% want Pearce out. That's a lot of fans and memberships.

Yes, Keary will get the 'super sub" / utility role, and he will be at another club in 2019. Just like Connor this year. And don't be fooled cause he'll get about as much game time as Connor got.
