Simple, we can use his money to strengthen other positions and depth in other positions, something you keep whinging about.

If offloading Pearce and front loading contracts means that we can sign Paulo or Crichton then FFS do it. It's a no brainer.

I was told by a reliable source that Manly offered Pearce 500K and Pearce will go if the Roosters tip in the remaining amount. My source says the Chooks will need to pay around 350K.
This was from a direct one on one convo my source had with Pearce a week ago.

Except that nobody is allowed to offer Pearce anything, or negotiate with him at all, until 1/11/18, unless the club has explicitly given him permission to talk to other clubs. He is under contract with us until the end of 2019, and the current rules do not allow any club to talk to him until the final year of the current contract. And the club has repeatedly said that he has not asked for a release and they have not offered him one.
