  • Jayden Nikorima may be in a heap of trouble

I don't have access to the Daily Telegraph but went via a backdoor and found this.

Perhaps we are going to have $370k more dollars to spend?

THE immediate future of Sydney Roosters star Jayden Nikorima is in jeopardy amid allegations he has twice tested positive to illicit drugs in the last 12 months.

Under NRL regulations the $350,00-a-year recruit from the Brisbane Broncos faces a 12-week ban, the same former Sharks star Ben Barba was hit with this time last year.

Nikorima is appealing the finding, claiming he has vital evidence that will clear his name.

The Roosters have been trying to off-load Nikorima to help them fit superstar signing Cooper Cronk for 2018.

Ironically, Cronk has signed with the Roosters in part to clean up the club’s culture and off-field dramas that have resulted in the sackings of Shaun Kenny-Dowall and Paul Carter.

The Roosters and the NRL are refusing to comment under the strict NRL and ASADA protocol.

If we were banking on this to fund Cronk there is a risk that it Could turn sour for us if the appeal is successful

perhaps this is why they all wish to get Jayden home to have family support

Hopefully true. That way we can release him without a payout. Surely no club would have signed this dwarf for the amount of money he is supposedly meant to be on next year.

He has a back-ended contract for next year?

If he's forgone contract money for this year then his lawyers could likely make a case that he should be paid some of next year's money now if his contract is to be torn up.

You'd hope he wasn't silly enough to take the blame for other/s.

Gee I'll be happy when players and their drug scandals disappear from our Club.
