I know a lot of them are getting on but have you seen the lineup the Wolfpack have for 2018? They recruited extremely well and should be a real shot at making Superleague in the not to distant future.
      No.
On the "Im stoked the game if finally growing in Nth America" has me thinking, debatable.
It's a hard one trackie daks growing the game for some reason. It probably comes down to money.
What is it that people are looking for in regards to breaking in to the US market?
      What is success?
Promotion to the Super League with in 3 years or League taking over from gridiron?

Gday Mickey! Good to hear your thoughts old boy.

You ask some good questions and to honest, I don’t know the answers but I’m just glad to see the game growing over there as it’s been a tough slog for a very long time and to have a Nth American side crack the superleague through qualification in what would be the worlds first trans-Atlantic competition would be awesome for
the games exposure. Other organisations wil develop from their success as seen by the efforts to develop the NY side. It will also give players in their twilight years an opportunity to just slip away into the darkness of the post rugby league career abyss.

The good old thing with the Wolfpack is they have some real talent in the side, albeit a little long in the tooth but it’s solid and some of their players have just completed great seasons in the NRL so they are surely looking good. Imagine the interest from other players if they are successful. Players want to play for successful franchises so it’s sure to attract more players of caliber if the can crack the big show over there.

I dont know what the money will be like as they will never get the same dollars as traditional American sports but in Nth America, with a population well over 360mil, surely they can find room for the greatest game in he world and pay them well.

Its growing and everything needs to start somewhere. It’s great that the roots are finally taking a hold over there.

Mickie. I’d argue success is growing the pay tv audience at the lowest possible investment. If that means a successful local team, local league or none of the above, so be it

            Agreed.

I definitely think Canada should be a focus for growing the game in Nth America. The US for the moment is caught up with their 4 big sports (NFL, baseball, basketball and ice hockey) and it might be hard for league to grow. But Canada on the other hand (other than ice hockey) doesn't have too many mainstream sports.

My bro in law lives in Canada and for the last couple of years has been telling me that league would have a real shot of doing well there. He went to a few of the Wolfpack games and said that he was surprised by how many locals in Toronto embraced the team.

I reckon you are right. It’s bound to catch on there. Especially if they can develop some home grown players into grade players.

I love the team name as well!

I think they would be in the same league as the Toronto Wolf Pack. I'm not sure they would be offering massive money from a club standpoint but the opportunity to ride off the back of his NFL exposure with sponsorships could be massive and the opportunity to be a leader in growing the game over there would surely have to be appealing.

I neva seen it coming but hayne is no longer the player he once was and i dont know if he has the work ethic to get back to the top of his game. His body is maturing way faster than his head.

                  Not going to happen.
Sure we may have the money for Hayne should Pearce go but a Prop will be on the shopping list...

I’m joy sure his head will ever mature fully. As long as he has the right people around him to guide him it doesn’t really matter anyway.
