Not sure if there is an official one, but there plenty of doctored ones available on the internet I'm sure. Teddy will probably visit Chooks HQ in the next week or so now that his Italian duties are over. He was officially a Tiger until 31 Oct as it was. He is one of ours for 2018 and beyond, which is all that matters.

It's a crazy ol' world we are livin' in.

Mitchell Pearce is officially still a Rooster, but he's already causing friction in Cronulla.

I'm surprised no-one has posted the latest Keary rumour by Massoud.. It's sure to cause a Cronkpen meltdown.

Like Pearce, Soward & Finchy, hell even Jackson Hastings for the limited time he wore it before him it just seems to be part and parcel of taking the number 7 jersey at the Sydney Roosters.

Cronk like Pearce isn't a creative or flashy player, he's very methodical and repetitive in his play which means his 'success' as judged by the fans will be purely based on team results. Win a premiership and he will be the second coming of christ, fail to and he will be an over-priced retiree in waiting.

Pearce and all those you mentioned NEVER had the success that Cronk has had coming into our club. And it has nothing to do with the number 7 cause even SBW had the same negative welcome from some. Rather than give it some imaginary spin, just admit it that the detractors are waiting for the first mistake from Cronk. Are you one of those, eh?

I'm not a fan of the signing, I think clubs need to stand for more and that in making the signing with the impending fall out we've compromised the integrity of our club and added weight to the argument that we are a soulless transit lounge.

What I don't believe to be true though is that all those who share my beliefs are waiting for Cronk to fail. My feelings are born out of my love and passion for the club so to question whether I want to see an individual fail meaning the club would also fail is misguided and a misrepresentation of my motives.

SBW wore the expectation of results because he was a huge marquee signing. You're right you don't have to wear the number 7 at the Roosters to be open to that kind of expectation but if you do wear the number 7 you usually are regardless of status, history proves that.

Cronk wont be an exception to that just because he has 'prior success'. Cronk is both a huge marquee signing and the number 7, of course if we don't win premierships he's going to be open to criticism regardless of how he plays through the season, you better believe it. It comes with the teritory of being a big marquee signing and halfback, and that's no more true than anywhere but the Roosters.

Fairly or unfairly, it's just fact.

Well said he was just another cog in the storm machine. Everyone is equally relied on to do there job. Your only as strong as your weekest link. Most teams think copying the storm is to wrestle but it how they play as a team is the key to there success. Iv heard from a ex player that Bellamy sets up pegs with pool noodles attached so when doing ball work player have to run the right holes. If some one runs the wrong line the whole team floggs him on the ground with the noodles, ending covered in bruises.

Oh Please!!! Didn't hear you say the same for releasing players like Guerra, Watson or Evans... Or what about Maloney & Jennings, 2 of our GF stars...? The transit lounge is everywhere today not just at Easts. The fact that we are able to attract the best should be a sense of pride while our nearest neighbours have only managed to get one player plus a bunch of nuffies. If your feelings are for the 'love of the club', then why not accept that Cronk is a winner and is here to try and bring that to our club while Pearce has not lived up to his fathers name? I cannot recall you at any time being critical of Pearce but I'm sure that if you have, you obviously blamed him collectively... I read what you wrote to another on this thread I think where you ask if he has watched the games which i thought was a little patronising...We have all watched...even the experts have...even his mentor and friend Johns was so disappointed with him...Yet I'm sure you're always blaming the way the defence shifts right or left....

If Cronk is going to be scrutinised for not getting us a premiership next year, why hasn't Pearce been scrutinised by you since 2013? If Cronk is a marquee player, then I'm happy we got him and not anyone else...This guy wont be here to collect his cheque...Maybe the problem with Pearce is that he is well paid, close to a 'marquee' player... He was too safe...not anymore...

I was quite vocal with my opinions on how poorly we treated SKD & what a shame it was to lose Connor Watson but it was just an unfortunate circumstance. As for Maloney & Jennings they were two purchases who gave us good service but we owed them no loyalty, we didn't develop them. They came for the money and left for the money, make no mistake about it.

Guerra & Evans were both let go because they were struggling to perform at First Grade level & this is where we will ultimately disagree because I know you believe that to be true about Mitchell Pearce as well which I don't...

I would be saying exactly the same things if we were replacing Mitchell Aubusson with Tyrone Peachey even if it is a reasonable argument to make that Peachey is the better player and just as versatile.

See I've got no issue with signing big name players, I think it's an exciting part of the game and it generates interesting talking points for the game but it should be done in a position where it's needed not where you have a loyal clubman of 10+ years service who's performing.

We just have different view points on this and that's perfectly fine, personally I think clubs need to offer more to the game and stand for more in the game and to their fans than just purchasing the hottest talent on the market.

You've misinterpreted what I was saying, I don't think Cronk should be scrutinised based on whether we win a premiership or not, I think he should be judged purely on his performances like all players.

But like all number 7's before him he will be judged by the majority based on whether he can deliver us a premiership, make no mistake about it. Just like Pearce was and every number 7 before him.

You said people were waiting for him to fail, I'm just saying people are waiting for number 7's to fail all the time. There's nothing new there...

i think this is really well articulated and again im somewhat sitting on the fence here, firstly i want the roosters to succeed and win a premiership in 2018, and despite the fact at first i was very opposed to signing cronk i reluctantly admit that our chances are better with him at 7 then pearce at 7, i myself feel a certain loyalty to pearce, aubusson, jwh loyal club men whove been with the roosters a long time and in an ideal world would prefer we won our next premiership with pearce at 7 rather then cronk at 7, unfortunatley fantasy and reality rarely match and i doubt pearce will be here in 2018 i acknowledge as a player he had his limitations and every year i felt hed join the upper echelons of halfbacks in the competition i concede he probably never will , i hope cronk makes every post a winner in roosters colors but a little part of me will always wish it was mitchell pearce putting in a pinpoint kick and not c cronk...

I couldn't give a rats butt-hole about loyalty to players. Players are only 'loyal' to the highest bidder. I've been here for longer than any player and I'll be here a lot longer after anyone leaves. I just want a premiership.
