I don't consider it loyalty when you are the highest paid player and spend your offseasons binging on alcohol and other substances and then can't aim up in the season proper, rather than looking after yourself and ensuring you are in peak physical and mental shape. I guess people have different ideas on the concept of loyalty.

They came for the money and left for the money, make no mistake about it.

Guerra & Evans were both let go because they were struggling to perform at First Grade level & this is where we will ultimately disagree because I know you believe that to be true about Mitchell Pearce as well which I don't...

I would be saying exactly the same things if we were replacing Mitchell Aubusson with Tyrone Peachey even if it is a reasonable argument to make that Peachey is the better player and just as versatile.

See I've got no issue with signing big name players, I think it's an exciting part of the game and it generates interesting talking points for the game but it should be done in a position where it's needed not where you have a loyal clubman of 10+ years service who's performing.

We just have different view points on this and that's perfectly fine, personally I think clubs need to offer more to the game and stand for more in the game and to their fans than just purchasing the hottest talent on the market.

You've misinterpreted what I was saying, I don't think Cronk should be scrutinised based on whether we win a premiership or not, I think he should be judged purely on his performances like all players.

But like all number 7's before him he will be judged by the majority based on whether he can deliver us a premiership, make no mistake about it. Just like Pearce was and every number 7 before him.

You said people were waiting for him to fail, I'm just saying people are waiting for number 7's to fail all the time. There's nothing new there...
Seriously, I do not mean to be rude but do you come complete with a colonoscopy bag around your neck, the verbal diarrhea you post sometimes is overwhelming

once again you get caught out and come back with the usual " you misinterpreted what I'm saying"

You are articulating what most of the posters here are thinking. The Pearce supporters are really losing the plot.

I read one comment that the purchase of Cronk qualified us as a 'soulless transit lounge'. Did the acquisition of Arthur Beetson, Ron Coote, Brad Fitller, SBW also qualify us as that? No - and they won us competitions.

Cronk is the Australian half. He's one of the main reasons Qld dominate State of Origin. He produces the big moments in big games. Michael Morgan attributes his current form to a gee up by Cronk.

For heavens sake, the reason we're buying the guy is his professionalism, not his party boy qualities.

Mate, they just don't get it, the amount of loyalty, protection and 2nd chances this club has provided Pearce is staggering, now they are disloyal because they have realized they were wrong and put measures in place to fix it, one M Pearce has shown very little loyalty to club, fans, sponsors and team mates over many years.

What the club are guilty of is giving too much leeway to the chosen way and a couple of others to the extent that final warnings meant nothing any more, they were no deterrent

as for disharmony due to Cronks signing, this will only galvanize them and create a better environment

Smashing the opposition and winning games generally helps the environment. Thanks in advance Teddy and CC

They may start Cronk at hooker & keep Pearce at half. That would make more sense.

Cronk is playing prop and Pearce will be a centre.

Friend and Keary are the halves and Radley is hooker co-captain and goal kicker.

We have fixed our front row, centre, captain and goal kicking problems then....

In all seriousness imagine they started Cooper Flog from the bench in round 1.

This place would go into Flogdown.

The reason the club bought Cronk is because he's a better halfback than Pearce, it isn't rocket science.

And Keary is a better five-eighth than Pearce, and Friend is a better hooker than Pearce..mmm

How do we know if Pearce isn’t as good at 5/8 or Hooker Than Keary or Friend.
I wouldn’t want to see Keary go by the way but Pearce hasn’t played in either position for any length of time to make an assumption.

Do you honestly think Pearce will have the same impact at 5/8th as Keary,I mean come on..
We need a running 6 to accomodate Cronk,Keary fits that bill a million times over Pearce!
Pearce is a specialist 7,unfortunately that position is taken now at our Club!
In regards to Friend, though I’m not a fan I still think he is the better 80 minute hooker option based on experience and know how..
                              Just my opinion
