So yep the usual suspects will do well IMO, But as I've said before, and it applies even more so going forward, Any team can beat an other team, on any given day.

Our middle will be tested every game. What's Einstein's definition of insanity? Keeping things the same and expecting a different result. Our forwards and Centres are an example of this. Actually we have made changes to the forwards........we've gotten rid of 3 or 4. So depth will now be an issue also.

But, on a positive note, if the forwards, centres and depth have greatly improved performance, then we're not insane as these qualify as changes....

For 27 games at club, state and international level. Cronk has only won 13 and lost 14 without Smith.

This doesn't make sense, Smith has hardly missed any games in his career, especially over the last 10 years where he just broke the most consecutive tests for Australia. If he was out of a team because of SOO Cronk was normally there as well, or if Smith was out then probably 5 other Storm players were out as well, including Slater, Inglis, and whoever else. Of course having Smith in any team would increase their win loss ratio, he is the winningest player of all time after all, but quoting a so called stat like the one above is no indication of Cronks value to the Roosters.

Of course it's a made up stat.. The games Smith misses for the Storm whilst playing rep football are missed by Cronk as well. The level of desperation by the Pearce lovers is reaching unprecedented levels of BS. Yeah, everyone who disagrees with you is a Pearce-lover. Forget that I paid out on the bloke for nearly a decade. I accepted Pearce not a champion halfback, and I also accepted that we don't need him to be a champion halfback. Our season was lost with SKD/Tupou and failing to address silly errors all season.

One thing some of you failing to see is Cronk is not a champion halfback either. He has played his entire career in the best coached side in living memory, with the best ever hooker watching his back. If we get rid of Pearce and Cronk fails to deliver we will end up in a worse position than 2016.

I think you'll find that's what most experienced players have if they are not playing rep footy - regardless of what they are being paid. I don't recall seeing Keary or Jake in the training pics this week. It's generally the new recruits and young blokes who return first (this week) and the more senior players follow in the coming weeks.
