  • Everybody Feeling Sorry for Mitch Pearce get over it

Everybody feeling sorry for Mitch Pearce get over it, we are here to win premierships, would you prefer we don't chase the best players?
What has MAN U done, for f sake, we are blessed with leadership at the club that demands results. Would you prefer someone like Doust run the place?
As for our ex no.7, he had his chances, at club and state level, he's been paid well, and will continue to be paid well. You guys ever notice how much none rooster supporters pay out on him after SOO, is that a hint or what that he may not be as good as we think? don't forget we won't see it as we love our club too much.

What have Man U been doing?

Man they were a force when they were bringing through players like Scholes, Giggs, Beckham, Fletcher and the Neville's.

Been a while between drinks for them in a 3 team competition.

Everyone has the right to a different opinion - get over it mate.

I like Pearce as a player and from 2nd hand accounts he seems like a decent bloke (his missteps off the field point to him more having personal problems rather than being a bad bloke - i'm not going to crucify him for that).

He's always put in 100% effort for the jersey and that's enough for me. I'm also not one of those people who decides to turn on a player just because they've left our club. I'll still hope he goes well (wherever he ends up) just like i still enjoy watching RTS at his best.

I personally get more satisfaction out of winning with as many guys as possible in the jersey who we've largely developed or who've come up through our junior ranks. Imports are important, but i think they should be strictly limited to a handful of players.

That said, i'm not anti-Cronk and i'm looking forward to what he'll bring.

NOTE: What has Manchester United got to do with anything? Are you all there?

      EXTRA NOTE:

ever notice how much none rooster supporters pay out on him after SOO
You don't get out much then.

We will be lucky to make the 8 as depth is still lacking - signing a 34 year half back without his Storm backing is not going to help this issue- Uncle Nick what have you done

Nah I disagree King, we should make the top 4 with our squad in which there are plenty of younger players who I think will be on the improve next season. I dare say that Latrell will have a lot of hunger in him and a point to prove after his disastrous preliminary final. Same for Fergo who I think will have his best season since 2015.

We still have potentially $1m to spend to address some weaknesses in the squad.

So Steakface, would you prefer we aim to win premierships, or just have a bunch of nice guys everyone likes playing for us?
Man U are an example of a very well run soccer team, top 3 most successful ever, they don't compromise.
As for SOO, where have you been, Pearce cops a bucketload after every game.
Don't get me wrong, I like Pearce and will always have great memories of him playing, but we need to improve the squad if we
want to win another GF with this squad of players, staying the same ain't gonna cut it.

I really hope Piss Off doesn't go to Newcastle. The Knights have suffered enough with that fat wastrel Tinkler bankrupting them and that cadaverous cove Bennett renigging on them.
              SUPER DRAGON!

Cronk is still a better half back than Pearce, on and off the field.
He's been signed for two seasons only...a good move IMO.
Yes, he is in fact only one player in a 17 man side.

Our best chance at a premiership will be in 2019...after in 2018 we sort out a lot of problems we have.
Mistakes, we make too many mistakes in matches.
We need some bigger forwards...a la Cows and Storm, for example.
We need to stop our wingers from leaking tries down the sidelines.
                  The list is long.

I think they should be feeling sorry for whatever club he signs for, ego and coin is why he is leaving

Dont blame anyone leaving for more money, good on them, the lame bullshit excuses he is excreting is laughable

I would have sympathy for most people who have their career turned on its head by someone else being employed in their position, without warning, after 10 years of employment and only months after being awarded a contract extension. And then be expected to listen and learn from a bloke who has never set foot inside that workplace previously.

I doubt anyone on this forum would be impressed if it happened to them, including you. It wouldn't matter how much you were being paid, the fact remains your boss thought you weren't good enough, and that would hurt. And understandably so.

Some on here need to get over their dislike of Mitch and realise that he was put in an awkward position through no fault of his own. The only fault lies with the club for re-signing him to a new contract if they thought he wasn't good enough. Any failings Mitch has have been evident for years now, not months. And yet the club chose to offer him a big money deal during 2017.

Well we all need to save face from time to time...at least allow him that much.

In the end, we need to win premierships, this is footy and sooner or later it would have happened to Mitch. Nobody remembers who came second.
We have a better roster than last year, how would anyone think we won't make the 8?
