Anthony Cherrington - Roosters FG / Jets NSW Cup
Stanley Waqa - Roosters FG / Jets NSW Cup
Rohan Ahern - Roosters FG / Jets NSW Cup
    Antonio Winterstein - Broncos FG
James Tamou - Cowboys FG / Northern Pride QLD Cup
Matthew Hall - Jets NSW Cup
Tu'u Maori - Jets NSW Cup
Javarn White - Jets NSW Cup > Balmain-Ryde NSW Cup
Alan Heldsinger - Dolphins QLD Cup

Dominique Peyroux (Titans NYC), Ben Cronin (Cowboys NYC), David Hala (Broncos NYC), George Vuna (Warriors NYC) and Brock Molan (Souths NYC) all left to join other teams this year, while Galu Te'o (QLD Reds ARU) and Daniel Randall (Windsor NSW Cup) would have still been eligible for NYC this year too.

No idea on where Hemani Moala (went to Parra, now nowhere to be seen), John Clayton or Fonua Fale went, and unfortunately we know all to well about what happened with Ulysses Fahina...
We should have kept them all except for Cronin. Hala and Molan are doing very well with their respective clubs.

Which is a shame, because he is one hell of a whole-hearted player. Tackles hard, runs hard, not as talented but always gives 100%
Described that way, he just wouldn't fit in Mack. Perish the thought that a player would give 100%, that just won't do.
FFS this club is giving me the sh1ts.

      • The way that Sharp plays in the U20s is exactly the way that Fitzgibbon does, except minus the goalkicking.

He is a very simple player, but fills his role to the best of his ability. All he needs IMO is to increase his hitups and he will be a very strong player.

But no, our club prefers to focus on the 'explosive' talents of Cherrington, Sa and Waqa, who are alot of huff, but so far, very little puff.

        • Right on Mack, all show and some go.
I'd rather all go and some show.

          • That is why I rated Nuuausala highly this year.

The past two seasons he had been nothing more than a lazy 10-minute burst impact forward.

But this season, he played plenty of minutes, ran as hard as he could, and always tried to make things happen when he was on the field. He made a few mistakes here and there, and also still has lateral defense problems, but he puts in when he is on the field.

Cherrington has more wraps on him, but far out, he can be lazy.

Spot on. We'll do a lot better that what people actually think. Bringing in a new coach means new structure, new culture and new methods of being a successful side. The players will be trying to impress Smith given his reputation of cleaning out teams and this will only again benefit the team. I can't recall a team being so young all across the board but we've re-signed a lot of our younger players to long-term contracts which gives us the chance to develop them for the next couple of years and we will finally see a team of players PEAK while at the club and not paying overs AFTER they've already peaked at other clubs eg. O'Meley.

                • We've signed Danny White, Brandon Tago and Henere Wells from Keebra Park High in QLD. White is a five-eighth/backrower and is quite rangy. He's only 18 and will join out NYC team next year. Tago is a prop and played for the Gold Coast Titans Harold Matts team this season. He will join the SG Ball ranks next season. Wells in a winger and a very fast one as well. Joining our SG Ball team next year.

We've also signed NSW CCC Under 18 representatives Lou Goodwin (Backrow), Jake Grace (Backrow) and Reece Jaegar (Wing) for the NYC team. They all hail from NSW Country. We've signed a little gem in Keanu Te Kiri (fullback, halfback) from QLD and he will train with the NYC though play SG Ball. He is still only 16 but is a very classy player. He made the Australian Schoolboys Under 15 team at fullback last year.

We've signed some really good young players. The future is looking really good and watch out for our SG Ball team to go close to winning it next year.

Keep up the good work Footy.
Do you know if Jack Littlejohn is contracted for 2010? I hope so because i've heard good things about him. I think he's eligible for U20's.
                    Thanks.

Thanks mate. From what I understand, he has been retained for next year. He is a very good player IMO. Is versatile enough to play fullback or centre but I think he can handle the wing with ease as well. It's a good squad they've assembled for next year's NYC.

thanks for the updates mate....really appreciate it. Im especially excited about te kiri and hope that is no gee-up - this kids an absolute freak. When I read the name it rang a bell and I did some research and found not only his long list of tries, star performances and rep regime but also this article for a few months back which is where I first heard about this guy. Have a read unless you already have. I know there is always talk but this kid can play http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/s...003409,00.html

I'm sure this is no gee-up. I was told that he had already trained with the NYC team this season but then went back to QLD because of his schooling. I just can't rate this kid highly enough. We would have made this year's QLD Under 16 and gone really close to making the QLD Opens Schoolboys had it not had an operation.

Also heard we're chasing two very classy kids by the name of Jason Taumalolo and Francis Veukiso. Taumalolo is an absolute freak, definitely the best player in his age folowed by Te Kiri. Made Australian Schoolboys at age 16, playing in the backrow!! If we secure this kid, he will probably bypass SG Ball and head straight to NYC. This size of the kid is amazing, already 100 kgs and 188cms.

                          • Heard of Taumalolo, isn't he some monster prop-forward who has been playing a few age divisions UP for the past few years?

That's the one. The thing about him though is he can play a full game. For a kid his size, he has very, very good agility, is very fast and can pop offloads from anywhere. I think he has changed from the front row to the backrow because he is more than a battering ram, he can ball-play on the edges. Amazing player.
