I suggest that it would be smart if we re-sign Brown for 1 more year just for depth (he won't be on much anyway), and maybe sign up Foran as a depth half.Rise Again. Represent 1908. Tick Tick Boom!

Minichiello is an honorable clubman, there is a big difference.
In most of Phil Grahams seasons in first grade since his debut in 2002, he has missed out sizable chunks of the season due to injury.
In 2002, he debuted in Round 5, and he missed out Round 8, and Round 24 to Round 27, all with injury - 5 games missed.
In 2003, he missed out Round 14, Round 19, Round 21, Round 22, and Round 24 to Round 28, all with injury - 9 games missed.
In 2004, he missed Round 1 to Round 7, Round 9 to Round 14, and then Round 18 to Round 26, all with injury - 20 games missed.
In 2005, he missed Round 15 to Round 18, all with injury - 4 games missed.
In 2006, he missed Round 4 to Round 10, all with injury - 6 games missed.
In 2007, he missed Round 8 to Round 17, all with injury - 9 games missed.
In 2008, he missed Round 4 to Round 27, all with injury - 22 games missed.
In 2009, he missed Round 2 to Round 7, all with injury - 6 games missed (out of a total of 18 played so far).
From what can be seen, he missed out almost all of 2004 and 2008 with injury, missed out sizable chunks of 2003 and 2007, and already missed out a fair bit of the current season with injury too. Every season, he is almost guaranteed to miss at least half a dozen games with injury, with the potential to lose his whole season to recurring injury too. I hope he is not being signed on much money at all.

i am sure you can correct me if i am wrong Mack, but when graham played a large majority of the season, did he had a very high try scoring strike rate?
if that is the case, if his physical fitness can be controlled and injuries managed, we may be onto something here.
(on a side note, in tonights Raiders V Broncos game, Graham scored 4 tries.)

I am pretty sure he did.
2002 - 16 games, 13 tries, 9 linebreaks
2003 - 17 games, 11 tries, 11 linebreaks
2004 - 5 games, 4 tries, 2 linebreaks
2005 - 19 games, 12 tries, 11 linebreaks
2006 - 19 games, 11 tries, 16 linebreaks
2007 - 15 games, 7 tries, 8 linebreaks
2008 - 3 games, 0 tries, 1 linebreak
2009 - 12 games, 7 tries, 7 linebreaks (including tonight, when Graham scored 4 tries, with 3 linebreaks)
Total - 106 games over 7 and a half seasons (currently in his 8th), 65 tries, 65 linebreaks
I am pretty sure that is a good strikerate, but the issue is the amount of games played per season. Also, he is 29, he isn't a kid anymore. However, if we sign him up, and blood in Williamson or Blair or any other strike outside back in the games Graham is out, there might be value in the signing.Last edited by The Mack; 08-01-2009, 08:36 PM.
