    Gains:
Joseph Leilua - St George Dragons SG Ball
Tim Burrell - Canterbury Bulldogs SG Ball
James Brown - Penrith Panthers NYC

    Losses:
Andrew Clayton - Brisbane Broncos NYC

    Retained:
    Matthew Hands
    Isaac Maliota
    Cheyse Blair
    Boyd Cordner
    Dane Cordner
    Jacob Miller
    Brad Murray
    Keith Masima
    Olireti Samuelu
    Ethan Lowe

    Unsure:
Sam Brunton - Last I heard was about to be resigned.
Jack Littlejohn - Haven't heard anything about him.
Fine Moeakiola - Heard a rumour he was moving to the Waratahs, although not sure how true this is.
Tom Pelo - I think he is going to be resigned.
Do you have a source on any of those, footy?

The most important players for us to retain are Jacob Miller, Matt Hands, Isaac Maliota, Olireti Samuela, Cheyse Blair, Ethan Lowe, Brad Murray, and Dane Cordner. They are, in my opinion, the key project players to build around for years to come. Any official confirmation on these blokes, and approximately for how long? According to you they are all retained, and it is great news if they are.

I know that Williamson is here till 2011, and both Boyd Cordner and JP Du Plessis are here until 2012 - these are all confirmed. I also know that Leilua is with us, but I am not sure for how long exactly.

What is happening with Boyd Strickland, Jerome Leolahi, Andrew Haines, Cyprian Ale, Grant Nelson, Tufuga Sa, Anthony Gelling and Tim Condon? I know all are still young enough to play NYC for us next year, but does anyone know whether they are going to be retained?

Also, what is happening with the graduating players? Dylan Sharp, Ben Murray, Martin Kennedy, Luke Towers, Valeni Tia Tia, Mark Talanoa, Mose Masoe, Robbie Williams and Sandor Earl are all too old for NYC next year, is there any news on what we are doing with these blokes?

For a full summary of the first-grade player contracts, check out the first page of this thread. Because I have no direct source for the NYC players, I am not 100% sure on any of their contract situations except for Boyd Cordner, Ryan Williamson and JP Du Plessis.

I already did tell you that Sisa Waqa has had another 2 years added to his original 2 year contract. Our club announced it early June, but I cannot find the article on their site anymore as a source to prove it,but it is a done deal.
Jake Friend is also negotiating as we speak, although Bennett is keen on snaring him off us.

Mack, Spanner is right on the Sisa contract deal, i know it happened but they do not archive articles like they used to on the old site.

As to friend, the roosters need to lock him up.....................to a long contract, he is a gun hooker and will be a long term prospect along with our young brigade.

That would be a massive shame if that happened and would give me more reason to detest coach smiley.

I don't get how Mario and spanner are the only two who seem aware of this signing. I am sure others would have made a thread about it if it were the case...

sisa waqa (or sisi wanga as fox sports commentators pronounce him) .. i think i also read that he resigned somewhere for 2 years; not entirely sure though

about J.Friend, would be a MASSIVE MASSIVE shame if we lost him

am absolutely loving his service from the ruck right now

has done 10,000 more things in the past few games, in attack, than Jaubs has ever done there

we must snap him up on a long term contract ASAP!!

                      the 1.. the 6.. the 7.. the 9.

I thought Friend signed a new 3 year contract last year for 09,010 and 011?

Strickland, Leolahi, Haines, Nelson, Sa, Gelling and Condon have been also been retained. Cyprian Ale though has not which is a shame as he is a talented player but you can't sign them all. From what I can gather, all players are off-contract at next season's end except for Williamson, Cordner, Blair, Leilua and Du Plessis, although all of the ones just named bar Williamson are eligible for NYC in 2011.

With the over-age players not eligible for NYC next season, Kennedy and Masoe are here for another year and I think Towers is negotiating a new contract and I'd like to think we can sign him up again. He is definitely worth re-signing. Don't know what's happening with the others though, but I'd imagine Earl will be re-signed after playing in NRL this year, and could be a player we could try and develop further as a depth player.

Can't believe we let Clayton leave to the Broncos, he is a good player who we could do with in the NYC next season. Runs very hard and has a good workrate. I think we could of further developed this kid because he does have potential. We chose him last year over David Hala who is now playing NRL for the Broncos so he is a player with plenty of potential. Also I really hope we don't lose Moeakiola to any other club, let alone another sport in rugby although he was one of the best young players in both codes going around before injuries struck. For anyone that has seen him play, you'd have to agree he would definitely crack NRL next year if he stays injury-free. Jack Littlejohn is another we should keep although his situation I don't know about. Had a good SG Ball season and can play both fullback and centre.

One of the best NYC teams on paper next season.

Is Dane Cordner off contract at the end of next year too? I hope we keep him, he is a top player in my opinion.

Strickland struggled with a relatively low workrate in attack this year, while Tufuga Sa really has done nothing in around 10 appearances...

I'm pretty sure Dane Cordner is here until the end of 2010. Strickland does have a low workrate and he doesn't seem to do any of the hard yards. Tufuga Sa has shown in glimpses he can be a good player but lacks game awareness and doesn't get involved enough.
