The team is certainly taking shape and we should all be excited about our chances next year. We might not win the competition but with a change of coach and a few added players, hopefully we'll have a change in luck and we'll be competing for a top 8 berth come next season.
I still personally think signing a backrower like Houston would have been cheaper and better, that way our pack will be more mobile. But really, it doesn't matter too much, Myles can go front or backrow pretty easily, hopefully it is only a 1-2 year thing with Ryles though.

Yeh if we got Ryles i wouldn't want Ryles contracted longer then 2 yrs. 2 yrs for me is max

yea i agree totally. By that stage, the likes of JWH, Masoe, Maliota and Kennedy will be ready to go at first grade level so would serve as the perfect transition imo. I think we can still try and get the likes of houston maybe if we release mase at the end of his contract next year. Using the backended funds of mase to fund houston and maybe even glenn stewart or watmough could be a smart move to bolster our forward stocks with some quality and experience without blocking the pathway of some of our young blokes into first grade.
8. FPN
9. Jaubs
10. Ryles
11. Myles
12. Symonds
13. Maubs
14. Paea
15. Mase
16. Cherrington
17. Friend
Well balanced side that for next year. I have left him out for a while but I think under smith and with a full offseason at full fitness under his belt, jaubs can recapture some of the form that lead to us initially purchasing him. His toughness and defensive work is also important to our side post fitzy and his mongrel could be a key component up the middle. He is also very much in the de gois mold of hooker so i can see smith using him in a similar fashion.
With Ryles and Nuuausala playing as damaging and hard running wrecking balls and myles playing a little wider of the ruck almost as an extra prop but with less pressure will mean he can be more effective and do more defensive work. Maubs and Jaubs would combine well defending up the middle racking up the stats whilst symonds can play the creative wide running role down the right. Mase and Paea off the bench for some impact and experience which is something we have really lacked in our forwards rotation with cherrington and friend to come on as the two youngsters for some exuberance and spark.
