We had a fullback who was also our goal kicker. Gordon should have been kicking off.
Gordon was carrying an injury for the majority of the year that was hindering his kicking.

Would've been moronic to have him booting a ball of the tee just to restart a game.

It's Latrell's fault for kicking it out on the full, no one else's let's get real.

I hope you're right though Mickey - he is a keeper - he looks huge in the recent photos of the the chooks pre season and not unfit huge but looks like hes turning that boyish body into a mans. He will be awesome in 18 i feel if he develops a bit more toughness. He will be the best centre in the game by the end of 18 if he is happy playing there i think.
The sky is the limit for Latrell. I reckon he could play some 5/8 for the Roosters if Keary is out.

although Justin Hodges played right centre, Latrell has a bit of Hodges in him

        • Latrell is the most aggressive player the Roosters have.

Definitely the kind of player you want at your club. Imagine him and Cords as a row pairing

I reckon Crichton will make a decision well into 2018. If he's seriously considering staying at Souffs then he would wait and see how they start next year under the new coach. I hear that if Maguire had stayed then Crichton was gonski. Also, If he plays origin next year his value will sky-rocket.

At the same stage of their careers I believe Crichton is ahead of where Gillett and Cordner were. Who knows how he will progress but he was unbelievable this year

                  • hes incredible as he has the size and grit of a league back rower, then he has he skill with the ball and running as he was a centre in rugby through high school. im hoping the chooks do snatch him

Thought the only reason he went to Souths was because of Maguire?

He did play 5/8 for quite a while in the juniors. He trialled with the Knights as a 5/8 when he was around 15 or 16, but they chose Brock Lamb ahead of him. That’s how he ended up here.

                          Big call.

Cordner had established himself as a startet in a premiership winning squad and played SOO at 21yrs of age.

Very different players but Cordner the far more polished IMO.

Add that to the major injury setbacks Cordner had before his NRL debut and I think Cordner has to rank well ahead.

Still love to have Crichton on the right to partner him. Not sure what happens to Aubbo in that scenario.

The club will allow this great club man to finish his career @ the Titans.
