Photos 9 and 12? Looks like Latrell has finally worked off that puppy fat around the waist and converted it into a shyte load of upper-body and leg strength. Absolutely no issues with the way in which he has put on weight (it’s nothing like my current ‘bulking up’ regime that involves a lot of flat whites, french toast and sticky sultana scrolls).

My nephew is part indigenous, he is the skinniest kid I have ever seen.

Agree with you, it's ridiculous when people say it is a fact. There are a lot of fat white middle aged Americans too but that doesn't make all Caucasians put on loads of weight over the off season too.

Perhaps there’s a study out there that shows Rate of Weight Control vs Aboriginality in the NRL. If there was I would bet my right nut that there would be no correlation.

Fact is people like to make unhelpful generalisations about indigenous players. When Simon Bonetti retires young because he misses the country, it’s thought of as a sensible and understandable decision for someone like him. When Jamal Idris gives the game up to get back to his roots it’s because he’s an aboriginal and can’t handle the white man’s responsibilities. Pick an indigenous player with public battles with demons and there’s a non-indigenous counterpart.
