IMO if Robbo has a set of nads then all our backline will be offered a free trip to Wyong to hang with Rip Taylor and the boys if Reece Robinson’s got their measure.

Can’t say that the 1yr contract for Fergo means much more than he thinks he’s worth more and hopes to prove it in 2018. Maybe he secured more $$$ for his family by making it 1 year too? SBW did his year by year... could simply be a sign that he backs himself. Toops took a cut to stay, whereas Fergo’s chosen money over stability, maybe? Can’t blame him if he did, and it provides incentive to perform.

gotta say I’d love to see:
    1. Teddy
    2. Latrell
    3. Mitchell
    4. Fergo
    5. Robinson

3/5 Indigenous backline. If those guys get some momentum, the Chooks could have a massive party...

Asking a bit much for latrell Mitchell to play wing and center though?

Fergo maybe a third of the RTS price however to quote Zig Ziggler - what you get for a price can cost you in the long term.

Fergo is very much a villain to hero to villain again player much the same as past wingers Terry Fahey and Chris Walker just to name a couple. Sure he played ok the back end of the season but so unpredictable both off and on the field. Its a shame he had those horrific ankle and foot injuries which has inhibited his running and stepping especially in defence. Very much a bash and barge type player now with a tad of brilliance when he is in hero mode. The dopey look when beaten in defence and feigning a injury just tiresome.

RTS is a class player when he is fully fit & playing in a class side.

RTS needs to get out of the Warriors quick smart or he'll end up another Shaun Johsnon. So much talent that will never be realised.

He's an exceptional talent with a great attitude, he just needs to right environment. The All Blacks would turn him into a superstar, no doubt in my mind about it.

What’s disappointing is that he’s a genuinely good bloke (unlike most wasted talent).

I’m sure he has no regrets, but it looks like he’s gonna have to captain the Warrors! No disrespect, but IMO that’s essentially throwing him under a bus. There SHOULD be a decorated star in his 30’s who can captain the place. Instead it’s like hey RTS... you are gonna be our captain, k? Love it, good mate!!! Keep up the great work ay!!

Is this a sign that Souths aren't confident of getting Latrell?

The only pattern I notice is that most ended up snorting coke and/or getting kicked out. Out of the above, it’s really only Lote, Folau and SBW who ‘made it’. I love the Sheck, but wouldn’t say he’s better than any of those.

I’m kinda meh about rugby BTW. I find it can get boring really fast, and it’s only on fox (so I CBF watching it). However, I respect that it’s a much bigger international game and if you’ve made the AB, you’ll be better than just about any League player.
From what I understand the Kiwi nickname for Marshall was Benchy (for obvious reasons).

He's a really humble bloke and a really popular player.

I posted a thread on it when he first broke out in 2013 but he was the next poster child of the NRL if he we could just hold onto him. The NRL loved pushing him because he's a clean skin, speaks well, had a really positive attitude and some of the best footwork you'll ever see. All the ingredients of a marquee man.

People who think he left because he wasn't given the fullback position or think his relationship with Robinson & the Roosters fell away couldn't be any more wrong.

If he joins Rugby he'll be a bigger star than Izzy.

I was shattered when he left but it's impossible to hate the bloke, I'd love to see him do well in Rugby.

Izzy is outstanding in Rugby for the Wallabies but is surrounded by average players in a very poor era for that team. No way will Roger stand out like Izzy and he won't have to because he will be surrounded by players that are freaks.
Love RTS and I've always hoped he continues to excel no matter where he ends up

He won't make it in Rugby, too small for an outside back and no kicking game. If you ever happen to watch a Rugby game involving the All Blacks, you will notice all their outside backs are around 110kgs and have kicking games. To be a fullback, it is critical. He doesn't have one.
