The fact it's only a one-year deal means I wouldn't get too excited about it.

The last time we signed a player from NZ who had very similar physical stats he turned out to be one of our best forwards and still is.
Build and skills > all. I am roughly Tauks’ height but built like a sprinter (powerful but lean) so would s*ck as a prop. He is ‘big boned’ beyond the kinda size I could bulk up to, so he is an amazing forward.
Props don’t do a lot of leaping or scooping up high balls, so height is advantageous as it is for a winger or... a basketball player.Last edited by ism22; 01-29-2018, 08:54 AM.

Does anyone know if he can play?
as a former “clubman” myself, it can mean “great bloke that everyone likes and wants in their team” but often does not mean “first grade material”Written and published on behalf of the Liberal Party, Queensland

I’m not writing anyone off, I was simply hoping for a bigger, NRL ready prop who could make an impact immediately.
Height (generally- there are exceptions) allows a player to carry more weight without losing mobility. That is an advantage in a prop IMO.
