Like i said most teams are not silly enough to permanently blood their 18 yr olds unless they are seriously talented. BJ has good strength and is enthusiastic enough but he seriously lacks speed, class and brains to be an outside back. He doesn't have the WOW factor.

BJ has played about 30+ games, you don't know what you are talking about. Age is irrelevant considering the whole NRL is relatively way younger than it used to be.

With nothing to play for in first grade, if i were Smith i'd relegate BJ to NYC & have him & Boyd Cordner lead the boys through their finals campaign. WIN/WIN situation.

blah blah blah excuses excuses excuses. The forwards going forward have nothing to do with BJ making basic bad defensive reads or his lack of speed with his legs or speed between the ears or poor handling. Linnett should be there instead this yr. Next yr we should sign a real centre..

Rocky BJ will never be the wing/centre that Yow Yeh is no matter how many games he plays there.
But I would love to see him after half a year in Newtown playing in the back row. He is not ready for first grade and needs to bulk up.

Buddy SKD will come good if/when Carney and Pearce come good and Mini farks off at FB.
Also i agree that BJ would be a better 2ND Rower but who would we play at centre? If we buy a new centre i have no problem in BJ getting dropped to play second row in the future, but out of our current crop BJ is our best option

SKD has so much shit in his game this year. You can't blame anyone but him for that. In 5 years he still doesn't know how to tackle, still drops the most stupid balls, still runs like a crab and still can't draw and pass. But please, SKD deserves his own thread.

I prefer Maubs at centre next year if the only other option is BJ.

BJ had a complete shocker today. This is what I remember from today's game:

1. Stripped the ball in a 2 man tackle.
2. Let Lyons get on his outside from Glenn Stewart pass (who was covered by Carney)
3. Broke from scrum and over-ran to the blindside whih let Glenn Stwart in for a try.
4. Didn't push up on blindside when they switched back his way and tackled no-one which let Hopoate go in for a try.

BJ was in good company though as I thought the rest of Roosters backline were also terrible in defence.

No but he has obviously done you with a BJ. What he has helped done is farked up a GF and provided little in our poor season.

My opinion on him is obviously based on his 30+ games. After the titans prelim GF last yr his weaknesses where obvious.

I can pick hundreds of players better than BJ at roughly 37 games in their career, yow yeh was just one example.
