He finished the season strongly but was really poor for the first 2 thirds of the season. A good finish doesn't make up for that...

All well and good.

But some on here only seem to think it's your last game that really matters.

Napa and SST as starting props.

Napa would be better off the bench and perhaps that might give him a point to prove.

He plays well at Origin so I there is no doubt in his capacity to perform well at NRL level. It just appears he is content to rest on his laurels and being benched might give him a point to prove.

Jared needs to start, he is still our top prop, and does a lot of work that is not appreciated. His PF was probably one of his worst but he still is our best prop on most weeks. He has the biggest target on his head, makes the hardest carries plus usually does a lot of work in defence and can play longer minutes than Napa.

I also think his knee will be a lot better this year.

His play the ball would not have been considered slow back in the 70's, but his manner of playing the ball would mean he would take an age to get to his feet in the modern game. That was the point I was making
