We have one of the smaller packs going around. Broncos have at least 4 players 113 kg and over. Storm have monsters like Nelson Asofa-Solomona and now a fit Kasiano and even their smaller guys like Kafusi are up to our biggest. Cowboys have Jason Taumalolo and Coen Hess bigger than anyone we have. I think Napa is our heaviest and he's a plodder in attack compared to all of the ones I have mentioned. Robbo banking on a smaller fitter pack seems to be the tactic. But it's where we miss the steel of SBW, LOD as in 2013. I still feel we'll go well but we could use an extra hard man.

LOD was 185cm and played at about 100kgs.
If you're looking for size, he's an odd suggestion.
SST,JWH,Cordner,Napa, tetavano, with Liu should be enough to match most packs if at least 3 of them have a good match every week, unfortunately very rarely do two of them fire week in week out, and one of them is consistently Cordner, Aubo and matterson don’t impress me as forwards, hopefully the farmer can take one of their spots.

Think he was more suggesting the hard man role, rather than size, JWH should be our hard man without a doubt, but has lost that aggression and wild man persona.

I'm excited to see how Matterson comes on this year. It was his first full season in the forwards last year and he seemed to burn out a little bit during the middle of the season and then obviously got shifted to the centres and a few other positions in the back half of the season where he struggled for some form & consistency.
But I saw enough to suggest he can definitely make it as a forward, needs to work on his running style a bit as I still thought he was dropping his hips and looking too much for the contact when he was taking his tight hitup runs but his post contact metres, balance in running and mobility for such a big guy makes him a very exciting prospect if he can start to package it all together this year.
Hoping Tetevano continues to improve, Collins develops and maybe the Silly Farmer breaks through.
Having said that I still rate Tolman as he has a great work ethic and can play minutes. 5-10kgs less than Napa but more value at NRL level so far.
Hoping Tetevano can eventually fill the LoD enforcer role, he has the basic ingredients to be one.

I guess Trent no longer views "Eloni Vunakece" as an option for depth cover for the 17 man line-up. He played solid for Fiji in the Rugby League World Cup last year and the bloke was named at "Prop" for the Intrust Super Premiership NSW Team of the Year two years in a row (2016, 2017) but he's probably behind the likes of Lindsay Collins on the call-up list. The Chooks do need another big poppa forward, Zane Tetevano is a solid player with impact off the bench but we just need one more to have that same sort of impact as the Storm and Cowboys have at full-strength. Those two teams have monstrous packs and sufficient depth cover. All the other lads on the roster in regards to depth are pretty much all second-row/lock forwards (Brock Gray, Nat Butcher, Chris Smith).
Chooks should look at perhaps some blokes in the Super League or in the other code (Rugby Union).
Should the Roosters throw David Taylor a life-line at a "very dirt cheap price" seeing as he has come back to Australia (QLD) and is now playing in the Intrust Super Cup for Central Queensland Capras. They have indicated that they would be willing to let him go to the NRL should an opportunity arise...but is he worth the risk ? Could the Roosters change him around ?

We'd need to be decimated by injuries for Vunakece to see FG, he isnt a first grader in any team
