Yes, but it was the one that counted Ray and everybody in town knows who let us down. We could use someone like your namesake again. I still remember Ray's TV appearances always signed off with 'Easts to win'. Let's hope they come good then hey. JWH did have a better year than many are crediting him with. But I ain't getting over it until I see them stand up in a final and dominate...or at least hold their own. Even Scott Bolton was going through our middle.

My feelings exactly.
People want to draw and quarter JWH over one poor game , yet we copped Guerra impersonating a 2nd rower for years. And Friend needs to re-learn his role and fall on his sword as captain.

And, there's a good reason why no club is knocking on Tolmans door.

Not a bad choice but.
Friend will be in the spot-light more than the last couple of seasons.
A gutsy non-stop tackling machine is fantastic, as long as he doesn't keep spoiling the attack. There's more to being a dummy half than Jake has shown in recent times.
As captain he appears to be very uninspiring.

If Friend doesn't deliver he will have well and truely earned whipping boy status, just like his pretentious mate before him.
