  • The inside ball

Changing the point of attack is useless if the forward doesn't know he is going to receive the ball or it's really really telegraphed by the d.

Gee I was getting the sh1 ts with that inept attack.

It did not ask any questions of Manly.

Not one forward was punching through the line. Ryles was particularly poor.

The winger turned centre was terrible today, don't make excuses for him.

    Game gone at half time.
    barbarian ......arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!

I said this before in another thread that Pearce and carneys pet play is bring a forward inside them to be dominated.. Carney not once has got the ball at speed drift across with options inside and out which he did all year last year was causing headaches for defences coz he's speed would get him on the outside of he's player then he would have Skd to draw n pass to or either draw in the defender dummy to Skd and go straight through..
This option is good but not every single set it's one dimensional and gets picked off every week

My inside ball is better than his. At least it performs 25% of the time.

Good to see Guerra out sprint Manly outside backs. Mind you i ik Manly shut shop about 30 minutes before that.

But it was the only piece of play I have enjoyed this year...all year. And somehow Minichiello didn't get in the way to butcher it.

But the inside ball....... the Da Finchi Code has not been broken.

When you throw the inside ball 2 metres before the line it's not hard to adjust in defence. It's truly diabolical that we have been doing this all farking year and still expect it to work. Einstein said the definition of insanity is to try the same thing expecting a different result.

            Chook.

The inside ball should be used when were attacking and were 5 meters away from opponents try line to our forwards to steamroll over the defense to score just like t Rex did yesterday and at no other point every team can read this boring play

The inside ball used by say, Lockyer to Slater or Lockyer to Gillette on the weekend is used rarely and strategically and works probably 1 in 4. I'm with Chook that its defies belief that we just keep on doing it over and over again. Drives me insane. Our only options are the "inside hospital pass" or the mini bomb. Both useless. When did we forget about the value of repeat sets ? pffffffffff
