It's just that the first four games are against likely bottom eight opponents, where I see Cronulla as contenders and we are playing away to them which is a challenge.

I'll never forget that match. I was in Bathurst watching it. Think they were 11/1 head to head. Disgusting. But as you said, we set all sorts of records that year and won the comp.

Was probably a poor choice of topic, my opening post states my feelings.
I am basing this on 2017 opening four game winning streak compared to 2016 where we lost a string of close ones early in the season.
So yeah, we must bloody win em

I think most chooks fans will be disappointed after our first few games. It's going to take a while to click. Particularly with Keary. I'm really looking forward to the influence someone like cronk has on Mitchell. Mitchell is already good, but with cronk he could be anything.

Fergo, Mitchell, Toupou and even Manu are difficult to tackle one on one. Then throw in Tedesco roaming around. Fark me.. this could be goood!

Even the backup Reece Robinson is pretty deadly given space too.

To combat this (if we can combat this at all), a change of captaincy is paramount......

We need to buy every player that plays SOO or for Australia & win the comp every year. Develop no one & just have the Roosters as the only team.
