Yes, and he's just turned 20 years of age. Don't blame the kid because he was thrown in at the deep end too early and still has a bloody lot to learn.

Also recognise that the coaching staff we've had in recent years have done their best to stuff up the careers of more than one of our halves. They appear to have no idea on how to get the best out of them.

Provide Pearce with a good mentor, not to mention a half decent coach and game plan, and watch him improve.

I think Pearce's game has improved significantly this year under the guidance of Adrian Lam. He has developed a short ball and is now running at the line. Unfortunately for him very few players are playing with the same enthusiasm which can make him look bad.

I tell you what, I think Pearce is a pretty honest player but he doesn't have the vision or natural flair to complement a player like Anasta, they are both similar players.

I really hope Carney adds the creativity that we have lacked for so long, I hear all the rubbish about you are only as good as your forwards and I somewhat agree, however go back and have a look at some off the sets we had on opposing teams 20m lines and we look like browns cows standing around not knowing what to do.
