I tell you what, I think Pearce is a pretty honest player but he doesn't have the vision or natural flair to complement a player like Anasta, they are both similar players.

I really hope Carney adds the creativity that we have lacked for so long, I hear all the rubbish about you are only as good as your forwards and I somewhat agree, however go back and have a look at some off the sets we had on opposing teams 20m lines and we look like browns cows standing around not knowing what to do.

Agree. Pearce tries hard, no one is doubting that however he doesn't posess the vision or skill of a Langer, Johns or dare I say it Wing.

You forget that he was still a teen just a few weeks ago and has already played SOO. Whilst I don't think halfback is his best position either I wouldn't dismiss the possibility of him being the best halfback in the comp some time in the future.

If Ben Hornby can play half for Aust, anything is possible for Jnr Jnr.

The kid hopefully has another 10+ years in the game, in whatever position he ends up playing. I wouldn't write off his chances of representing Aust as a half, hooker or utility.

The toughness he's inherited from his father will count in his favour, espec as he matures - on and off the field.

Nope, even when i did like the bloke, i have never had him on this pedastal that he will never reach.

The hype around him initially and even now has not been earned or deserved, he was a dismal failure in the flegg side and Newtwon.

Even his ardent fans concede he was selected in 1st grade to secure his signature, not on form.

I beleive players need to earn their shot, not be given it on a platter like happened here.

This in my opinion put his development back 2 yrs at least.

I keep hearing his fans say he has leadership skills, a great organiser, yet these same people say we are a rudderless ship and clueless??????

But thats someone elses fault.

Our forwards dont go forward or lay a good platform, yet when we do attack we offer nothing, we cant even get a repeat set.

He makes so many tackles, he is tired and has nothing left.

Our outside backs are useless, we have no centres, yet who is responsible for passing the ball wide????

Thats my whole problem with the bloke, his loyal band of followers always blame someone else and it has worn thin, its time he stepped up and become this player most seem to think he is.

Dont blame the forwards the centres, the coach, the bloke in the street

If he farks up trying something like a chip chase, an intercept etc etc, i will praise the guy, if he farks up kicking the ball straight to the opposition or throwing another useless inside ball i will bag him.

I want performance not potential, i have another 4 yrs to either get used to spoons or eating plenty of humble pie, now i like my food and i would love the humble pie.

By the way, who's the ****wit that controls the North Shore line? The ****wit makes the new McQuarie Park train leave Chatswood just as the train arrives from St.leonards. Cant the prick wait for 10 seconds so the doors open, and passengers jump from the St leonards train onto the Mac Park train as they have too? No lets make the Cs wait for 15 minutes for teh next one.

If the forwards don't go forward, then that IS the forwards fault.

If the forward that is heavily marked drops the ball, then that IS the fowards fault. He should be able to hold the bloody thing. He knows he may get smashed so he has to be ready for that. That's what happens to forwards, they get smashed. Just as you would expect our forwards to treat the opposition.

The guys makes to many tackles and then has nothing left? That hardly seems like a reason to condemn the bloke. I would like to see all our players finish the game with nothing left.

It seems that you are pinning the hopes and failure on the one bloke when really it takes a team to win a game. The team are to blame as well as the coaching staff.

I do agree that he has not lived up to the potential that may have been placed on him but it is not his doing. Who would you rather be there? Who do you think would live up to role?

After listening to some of the coaching staff a little while ago, there are 2 things that Pearce is working on.
His vision and focus, he needs to stop watching the ruck and look at whats infront of him and outside him.
His kicking, not the kicks but when and where. This isn't unusual, there are only a couple in Lockyer and Thruston that are considered spot on when it comes to this.

I have heard too many people (that know what they are talking about) say that this kid has it, the work ethic and the attitude. It was interesting to hear about what he needs to improve from similar people.

On Soward, I have really enjoyed watching this kid play for St Mege, bringing back the chip and chase in to the game etc, but I hope he stops this diving and milking crap soon, he is embarrassing himself.

melon forget the Soward v Pearce debate, that is not what this is about, im all for players and people in general "EARNING" their positions be that on a football field or the work force, reputation,rumour, buttering someone up or because of their last name doesnt wash with me mate, never has never will.

Making excuses and blaming others are 2 things i frown upon my kids if they try this, own up to your mistakes then learn from that mistake and dont do it again.

Pearce has never ever had to worry about this, he has his band of lackies there to support and abuse others who dare criticise him.

As for the ECRL that too is Pearces fault, the train has too leave chatswood early to avaoid one of his inside balls.

No ask any Guard or Driver, the Guards that run those ECRL trains are all Hornsby guards, most come from the central coast and are feral bogans(sorry to the good coastie guys), they are not very well liked around the network.
