I'm a huge fan of Radley and would keep in the 17 but I think he's best suited in the backrow, Baptiste as a rotational options is definitely the way to go IMO, assuming we can sign him.
I thought it has been announced that we have signed him.

The better forward packs allow their hooker to run and dictate play ( Storm, Cows, etc)

Jake Friend didn't run enough, but he was given little chance. Radley was impressive, but he came on after 60mins. Friend has 35 tackles by then.

You win the ruck, you win the game
Ding ding ding, we have a winner.

Wests tested the referees early with getting up slowly and slowing down the play the ball, the refs accepted it as their tempo and let it play on.

We were the idiots not doing it to them on the other side to see if we could get away with it.

And you you could tell our forwards had trained for quick play the balls with most of them over running friend.

Interesting you say that as the commentary team we’re giving our forwards credit for constantly getting to the ground on their stomach for quick play the balls..
They were also crediting us for getting the Tigers on their backs to slow them down in the tackles..

                Yes he was poor.

It's been 38 games since we last score less than 2 tries and that was with a halves combo of Hastings and Matterson against a full strength Melbourne Storm.

I thought we were too one paced and he struggled to lift the tempo of the game. We were very central in our play despite exposing their edges the few times we went there. I thought his selective passing was too predictable, he hit the lead runner too often and needed to play out the back more. And I thought he didn't get on the ball enough, he's there as the primary organiser now there's no Cam smith to direct the side around the park so he needs to get more involved in our play.

Am I concerned? Not really he's the best halfback in the game for a reason he will make the necessary adjustments but it's going to take some time. Keary returning will be a big help.

If they sign Dr. Hugo Strange from Canberra, stick Friend in the forward rotation. He's a tackling machine, little more.

                      Food for thought.
He definitely showed signs that he'll be the signing we hoped, but certain members of our team need to come to the party.

he's too slow. But regardless, If they're going to overrun him for whatever reason why can't he do a dart himself then

If you look back on Friends career, he’s played all bar 1 season with Junior by his side.
What happened when we had Hastings play in the 7? Friend thought he had to do more and overplayed his hand. Is this not similar to what happened on the weekend.
Friend has to get on Cronks page or the signing of Cooper will be a waste.
Friend isnot creative, he needs to pick his moments better. He needs to let Cronk do his thing and control the team. Friends job is to support Cronk, not to think that this is his team. He is the co-captain but not the general on the field.
If he can focus on getting us over the ad line and let Cronk do the rest then we will flourish. If he goes back to playing like he did with Hastings then we will be a bust this uear

I heard he likes to do darts when he is not playing.
I hoped he gave up that habit.......

Yeh sticking with this, I like the way Robbo rotated the dummy half role on Friday but I still don't think Radley is the best option as a dummy half off the bench. He definitely has value in the 17 though, some of his defence up the middle on some much bigger players was very impressive.

Baptiste will add a lot to our footy team, claims Radley is better than Friend though and should be dropped because of it is ridiculous.
