If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream—and not make dreams your master; If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster, And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools: If you can make a heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!" If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And—which is more—you'll be a Man, my son!

Anyone remember that post “ Henson Park” by George Steele? I think it had over 100 pages and went for a few years. Madness

          Yes, it was season 2000.
You didn't need to be a member to post then.
I didn't have much time for it as it used to take 20 minutes of listening to the phone making weird noises before you could even enter the magic world of the internet.
I remember JT and Trewella posting on that particular thread.
Henson Park was a very devisive subject back then.

Still have the T-shirt from the wall days - the Crazy/Angry Rooster in front of a PC sitting on a brick wall (Get on the Wall caption)- oh the great days of dial up internet how I miss it- not- we were lucky being one of the last suburbs to get fibre to the home/premises NBN connection

Typical noises of dial-up modem while a modem is establishing connection with a local ISP-server in order to get access to the public Internet.

I still have that TShirt as well - very old and faded these days. Certainly not in a state to be worn in public, but good house cleaning attire

                  .
I couldn't get the sound thingy to work , but I do remember the noise.
It wouldn't bring back good memories because I believe the world was a better place before the internet, smart phones and tech like that.

Yes, I'm aware of the irony that I kill a lot of time on this site especially during convalescence.
                  I have confused myself.
