ROOSTERS officials have launched an investigation into reports that star trio Nate Myles, Todd Carney and Frank-Paul Nu'uausala broke a team booze ban in the early hours of this morning.

The Daily Telegraph has learned that a cab driver phoned the club earlier today to inform officials of a fare they hailed between a Double Bay hotel and an Oxford St pub late last night.

The players have been contacted and are expected to be questioned later today.

The latest drama to beset the Bondi club comes just over a week after the entire team agreed to embark on a fortnight-long alcohol ban, in the wake of concerns from the senior player group over deteriorating off-field behaviour.

The story will be detailed as more comes to hand.

        If true:

Sack Carney. I've had enough of the shit dished up by this club in the last four or five years, and he is close to the biggest offender of the lot. He is heading towards Mason territory. I defended him. I defended him to the ends of the earth. It may just be that I was wrong.

Dump Myles without pay. Not to Newtown - dump him full stop. Another major offender and we owe him nothing. Especially since he quit. **** him.

Dump FPN for the rest of the season - not to Newtown either. And slap a 20, 30 or 40k fine on him. If he doesn't like it he can **** off too.

No way. Todd doesn't drink. He promised.

He even crossed his heart & hoped to die!

If it is a case that just a week ago, they "embarked on a fortnight long booz ban" and could not last a week, then what sort of respect does it show for the club, their team mates and Most of all, themselves.

            Examples need to be made.

              I agree.

I will say that it's a pretty sad world we live where a cabbie is dobbing people in for being out late.

                What?

You're not making excuses for them?

Yep if true, this time something serious has to be done about Carney. He is not bigger than the club.

Sadly, I agree with you spanner. In a Previous post I said support him aas a human first footballer second, but IF the article is correct, all the undertakings that carney makes are worthless. His breach of undertakings are getting closer together rather than further apart. Perhaps it is his inner thoughts...he wants to be sacked....or if he doesnt, he just couldnt careless.......

Look TOK, it comes down to self respect, if they are found to have broken this ban, they need to be held accountable.

This is not about excuses, this is about showing resepct to the club, their team mates and themselves, if they cannot hold out for 2 weeks for an alcohol ban, then they lack respect for all 3

Though in saying that, it is a Tellucrap scoop, so i would not be suprised if it is incorrect.

I reckon Paul Kent put on a wog accent and pretended he was a taxi driver.

Do dah do dah, it's off the Perth we go.

I'm betting the first thing the IC does is give our club an ultimatum, relocate to Perth or have our NRL licence given to an expansion club. A move like that would immediately accomplish two things. Remove Politis and his closed shop board of grovelling suck ups and relocate the club away from the farking cross.

                              Chook.
