Was watching an interview on fox with the both of these guys.. and interestingly Ivan was asked if he wanted to coach his son in first grade, he ofcourse answered yes and i later heard that it is something that they REALLY want to do... when asked when they were both off contract Ivan said 3 years and Nathen said 2... i know its way too early to speculate but it would line up nicely after Cronk retires and we all know Ivan has a link with Easts... what if? Uncle Nick is no stranger to starting early talks and maybe a promise of big money AND having his father as coach could lure him to the red white and blue? who knows.. but i have a sneaky feeling this could be a possibilty.

Triple M reported a week or so a go that Cooper Cronk may join the Roosters coaching staff in 2020 and we're already poised to sign Nathan with Ivan to follow.

Not saying I believe this, especially with Cooper's ties to FoxSports but just showing it is already being speculated by a few people inside the NRL.

So in the likely scenario that Robbo wins us a premiership in the next year or two, he will then be sacked?

I’m sure when CC signed for two years and MP left, there was a plan in place for 2020. Could be Cleary. What a great halves combo, Keary and Cleary.

3 years is a long time.... and tbh even if we win the comp this season it wouldnt garentee a long term job for Robbo... history says all it takes is 1 season to get the axe.

It was based around a conversation with Gus Worland and Matty Johns so I think it might be a bit biased but always a possibility

that is fair enough... for the most part i like him and think he has a high footy IQ.. my only question mark is from last years final against Cowboys.. the team just didnt seem on the same page and most importantly they lacked motivation and passion... as a coach he shouldnt have let that happen... other then that i think he gets a tough rap.. but as i said 3 years is a long time and who knows what you will think of Robbo then.... at the end of the day Uncle Nick makes the calls... and we both know how ruthless he can be when it comes to getting the player he wants.

lol yeah, i thought it was just interesting to talk about is all... not trying to be one of the trolls who claim to have inside info.. i just think it is interesting that they want to be on the same team and that Cleary is coming ofdf contract around the time we will be needing a number 7.
