I'm like the opposite in that regard.
I used to not give a shit about the scuttlebutt. It was water off a ducks back.
But now, since I became a bitter old dinosaur, it really irritates me.
Our club has worked so hard to rectify the "transit lounge" era, and we deserve credit and respect for that.

We have indeed. A lot of players who have come through our junior system are running around for other clubs. Some of them internationals. We have a great culture.

Our club has been a junior development for the NRL for close to 20 years now. The amount of players who have played or whom are playing 1st grade at ours and other clubs who have come through our system is very very high

As harsh as it may sound, I think this was meant to be a compliment.

We are in the running for a GF and that it our goal. Also, it’s very realistic with our roster. ~4 or 5 teams are in this position and most will fail.

This is much better than playing for a team that is hoping to make the 8 at best and see how they go from there. So I agree... anything less than a premiership is a failure. This does not mean that I cannot enjoy the season. But like... I will legit be disappointed if we get bundled out of the finals by the Dragons in week 2 (for example). Whereas if they make the top 4 then get bundled out in week 2 they won,t be too devastated.

            I reckon.
And Trent Robinson is a big part of that.
I'm very impressed that he encourages new players to learn our clubs history.

              So true.
All you gotta do is read the big league ..........it's a case of " Roosters here, Roosters there, Roosters every bloody where.", as Brian Cooley used to say.

It irritates me too in the way that stupid, pig-ignorant people ignore facts and just continue with their own hatred regardless. And as Andrew was alluding to, there are plenty of clubs out there that have benefited and are are benefiting from players developed by the Roosters. But of course, we have a small junior area and that's our fault.

That poor little battling club, the one they call the pride of the league that just got bought by an arrogant millioniare, had nothing to do with that of course.
