I couldn’t agree more Eddie. The most annoying thing about watching the footy so far this year isn’t being 2 from 4 to start the year, it’s having to listen to that mug Blocker Roach calling not only some of our games but others as well.

Try watching the games with no audio and if so then listen to what they say at half time. Often what they say is completely different to what I watched. I don’t need bias uneducated tabloid block head sportscallers telling me bullshit.

Roy & HG used to be good. With the internet I am sorta surprised that some dude isnt just doing his own commentary.

My issue with the current commentators is:
- They are hired to ensure the integrity of the game management and its major backers is respected. Simply put, they will never criticise the hand that feeds even if it is bleedingly obvious.
- There is a PR dude out the back feeding them everything... whether it be Shervo or the token blonde female reading off the prompts, it is all BS. And seriously, who gives a fark what some PR dude writes on the cards for Shervo to read out?

Thanks for your reply comments -Yep it’s all scripted - they have a brief to follow and really aren’t sports commentators in a true sense.
Back in the day when Wingy was playing I bumped into him at a cafe in Bondi that wasn’t a scene - I commented how punishing I found the ch 9 commentary team and Craig responded with anytime he watched it was with no audio - I’ve done the same since when at home. Long live Jack Little ! and Howard Cossell.

Does anyone remember when Fox let you choose what audio you wanted to listen to?
