Jake is the best hooker at our club. against he mostly palyed like he should quick service and go forward ball .He only went into his bad habits a few times and noticably.Come down Warriors and he same old Jake .No brains no gain someone has to ram it home to him thats why he should not be co Captain etc .Someone has to stick it up his ass.
As for the rest of our forwards ??? Does anyone here think Pearce was running them pretty good ??/ gulp.... I do, it was never Jake or Boydy.
So Mr Cronk lift your game and charge up the forwards.

The first two matches at Allianz i watched Cronk like a hawk and he was revving up the forwards like i've never seen before. Namely SST and JWH. He was fuming at them over and over, yelling at them to get into a certain position. Was bloody fantastic.

I expect our guys to bounce back from that performance - and I don't think Sharks are particularly good (especially in the backs).

I don't agree with you. I would rate Radley better. I would even prefer Aubbo over Friend. Heck I would even use Baptiste over Friend even though I have only seen a bit of him play - that is how rubbish I think Friend is. I would even go as far as to say that just about every other clubs back-up hooker is better than friend, let alone their starting hookers.

For Wyong aginst the Warriors, Williams was far better than Baptiste; scheming and niggling away. Not sure what Baptiste has done to warrant being in the convo at this stage.

I can’t understand why Mitch Williams hasn’t got a run in first grade at all.

After friend was ruled out of the first few weeks of the 2015 season, I was keen to see Williams (reigning hooker of the year in reserve grade) have a go. Instead we were treated to the brilliance of Matt McIllwrick and I think we started the season 2-5.

Because he's not a contracted Roosters player.
It's been one of my constattnt complaints since the Wyong arrangement started. What is the point if Robbo can't give one of our players a run in a particular position in reserve grade.

Radley has the heart of a lion and that overcomes his so called "small" size.

but if it was left to me, I'd have friend making sandwiches in the food stalls at the ground, Radley as starting hooker and baptiste on the bench, when baptiste comes on a relief hooker then I'd shift Radley to the backrow to save an interchange.

Does anyone know if Radley played in the back line as a junior? If quick enough, would make an awesome defensive centre.. As we always have 'a million' back rowers on our books.

Matterson has been very disappointing since he over-bulked up. Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane. But he and Jake are Robbo's teachers pets.

A lot of talk about some players not being dropped but who do we bring in to replace them? Randoms from Wyong that in reality are even worse than the guys we are dropping. Unfortunately, Trent Robinson has built a team where Reece Robinson is our backup outside back. If we didn't have about $2m+ tied up to our 1 and 7 maybe we could have bought a bit more depth but that's the squad we have and we have to deal with what we've got.

Reece Robinson is awful but playing playing Aubusson or Matterson in the centre isn't much better.

We are also stuck with our dud front-rowers until Robinson finally admits the forward pack has been shite for years and invests in it and by that I mean a proper investment (Crighton is a decent start but we need a prop badly) and not signing crap like FPN.

Matterson was big enough to play back row a couple of seasons ago. He has put on more bulk and lost any semblance of agility or ball skill he might have had.

By putting on that extra bulk for the forwards suggests to me he wasn't confident to make the transition without the extra bulk. But extra bulk doesn't bring with it extra aggression. He looks far too mechanical now. I want to see a bit of aggro from Matterson but I ain't holding ma breath......

Agree . He was big enough for back row before he went bulk crazy.. he is now slow with no room for ball skills.

Agree he has a great offload which is what we are lacking to create that second phase play to give ball too our outside backs. He would offer more than Matterson

Matto plays like a pussy, too big, too slow, does a bit or work but at his size he should be terrorising opposition defences but he and Napa similar stats in attack. Plus his reads in defence are not up to scratch imo.

I think Radley played some 5/8th, not sure if he played centres in the 20s.
