Do you honestly think Byron Fruean is better than all the other promising back rowers we have? Not sure if he's injured at the moment but he couldn't knock Kurt Kara out the the starting hooker role at newtown. Ahmad Ellaz is a better chance if you're gonna throw a dark horse out there. He's one of newtown's best week in week out. Great workrate and has unbelievable lateral speed. I saw a game where he scooted around and past Shaune Corrigan with ease twice, scored once from 60 out, gave a try assist the other. But there is no way these guys are gonna push out Cordner and Bosden for the long term lock spot.

I don't if the club can be built around guerra GFowl, but he can certainly be considered one of the Lynch Pins of the future of this club,

We would have been closer to completing our core group if carney hadn't of stuffed up but it will get there

I take it you think he is staying Super Mario? Even if they want to keep him (and I don't necessarily think they do anymore) I don't think they will. I think they would be so scared of the potential media backlash, that they will get rid of him no matter what.

Blokes like Kennedy, Aubusson, SKD and Perrett are the other ones who could be here for another 5-10+ years. They've all been in the system for a long time and love the club.

We'll learn more about players like Leilua, JWH, Tasi, Cordner & Masoe as to where they want to play out their careers in the coming years.

We need to prioritize and build in an effective manner around our core.

We have two outstanding halves who, when they both find consistency and focus, are up there with the best halves combinations in the competition. They should be the main focus.

We have young and talented long term prospect at hooker in Jake Friend. He should be tied up long term.

We have one of the best and most dangerous right hand flanks when our attack is at its most fluent, in Mitchell Aubusson (backrow), Shaun Kenny-Dowall (centre) and Sam Perrett (wing).

Martin Kennedy is up there with the best young props in the NRL, and before injury this year he was on fire.

Then it comes down to a few tweaks to the team:

1. We need to find a left-fringe backrower to replace Anasta after next year. The current options available are Tom Symonds, Aiden Guerra and Ethan Lowe

2. We need to decide who out of Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Lama Tasi, Mose Masoe and Kane Evans are worth persisting with alongside Kennedy after Ryles moves on at the end of next year.

3. We need to purchase a strong running fullback to replace Minichiello after next year. Dugan and Gardner are two talents - I don't really see any young options in our lower grades who are up to it.

4. We need to settle on a left centre/wing combination to move into the future with. Justin Carney and Phil Graham have been tried out, Cheyse Blair and Tautau Moga have shown glimpses of talent in reserves, and Tagive is our new purchase.
