But, yes, value for money is always tricky to define, and some players earn more than better players because they've come onto the market at a good time, or a club is desperate etc.

But, personally, I'd put Teddy in the elite category and say that he's worth every cent. And I'd throw in Jayden Nikorima and that guy who led SKD astray as being worse value recruits even though the ex-Souths guy was on peanuts.

Who said they are on 20% of the cap? They could be on 5% or 10% of the cap and have 10 third-party deals.
