A lot of people are really missing the reason Tedesco has lacked effectiveness. He thrived at the Tigers when getting the ball in broken play. He would wait for an offload out the back and off he went. However our players have been instructed by the coach not to offload. This presents the problem as to when he is going to get the ball. Our attack consists of one out hitups or if we are in the attacking zone, passing side to side. This occasionally punctuated by a dummy half run down the sideline, followed by an overlooked kick back infield.
What I am struggling to understand is why we would spend $1m on him and not try to play to his strengths. You do not recruit top drawer players and then stifle them with outdated game plans that don’t suit the personnel. The frustration on the players faces is obvious.
