The roosters got killed up the middle 3rd.
The cowboys exposed it . Big forwards rumble up the middle hooker out of dummy half after a quick play the ball. Fairly simple but very effective especially with the policing of the play the ball and 10 mtr rule this year. We have to be dominant in defence so we can slow it down . Having both napa and jwh on at the same time is not ideal. Losing sst before kick off hurt us bigtime against a massive pack like the rabbits.

The real problem is Cronk because no one in the team knows how he works, but of course it's much easier to blame Tedesco. My suggestion to Tedesco would be stop trying so hard, do a Michael Gordan and just play safe, wait for the opportunities that Cronk is supposed to create.

just support thats all tedesco has to do. Hes not the modern type ball playing fullback. He going to be lethal when he gets some 2nd faze ball around big tired forwards in the middle 3rd of the field

My main concern with Tedesco is he’s not safe in defense and makes too many errors under pressure. Liked Gordon much more.

On NRL stats he leads the entire competition in the error count with 20. He’s our worst offender and some of his errors have led to tries.

Tedesco is just a ball runner and has to rely on others to put him through gaps etc or he back`s up breaks but he does lack the skills to position others when he does in progressing try scoring opportunites - Fullbacks need to have more than ball running skills they need to have ball playing skills like a half and 5/8 too. To many Roosters players are one dimensional i.e Cords - he`s purely a ball runner with no skills in offloads and passing for instance - you watch the Penrith forwards they all have ball running/footwork /offloading and passing skills for instance.

Robbo was saying last week vs Warriors that was the true Roosters forwards - aggressive running not much passing or offloads one has to say but vs Broncos it was one out stuff and timid running -one has to say honesty the Chooks are not able to put games back to back to back etc - they be good one week and mediocre the next and so on- cannot be this and need to be much much more consistent.

Now 6 and 5 so its getting close to half way and an unpredictable Titans next- Tigers the week after with who knows how many missing on SOO duties. - maybe not as many as thought perhaps ?

He doesn`t have the skills to be a passer and set up tries as he is basically a ball runner relying on others to put him into gaps - One can look good in an average side - I thought tonight he was poor and Freddy may go with T Turbo at FB with his Brother at lock for NSW SOO first game.

Sure he might have a few more average games but he is turning it around and will continue to get better.

I’m very happy to see Tedesco improve so much. His first few games made me nervous because of al his errors. I hope he continues to go well.

He’s going ok but there’s not really much of a wow factor there considering the price tag you’d have to say
